Hello all,
I am Tluth T'zire. I recently took a break for 4 months due to rea life failingand i had to save my work and life. I was bored and figured i was standing good so i would log in to p99 and see what was going on. Surpriseagain, this is the second time in 3 yrs ive been hacked and had all my gear stripped from all my toons and my plat.
The culprit even went into the bank and put on my no drop items to make it look as if i was still geared and put on cloth and rusty weaps on toons.
The firsttiem this occured i was a raider in TR, took 2 yrs off and came back to delvld toons all sac'd from 58 down, and all toons stripped. I was pissed off but conviinced i could get it all back. I joined anonymous raided w all my friends, gathered good items and geared out 6 toons again and lvld my necro to 55 before i had to quit again for a bit.
Now the scond time i am extremely pissed off. I am posting here so my friends in anonymous and officers know i didnt deguild, solmeone that hacked my acct deguilded me and took time to park my toons in spots to drop bags of gear.
I have posted for regean to look at the matter and check ip usage in last 4 months. My hope is that the ip is discovered and the unloading of my gear is recorded by the server. And that that person is banned permanently. I would love to see my gear recovered but im sure im just shit out of luck because itll fall under some pw sharing and i never shared my pw with anyone.
This is more a gripe, but it is also being posted here to bring light to the fact that people need to change their pw maybe every month, to ensure that it isnt easy for a hacker to get your stuff. I am suck and fed up with redoing years of work on my acct.
I hope to see you all soon, if i can get any of my gear back to play again. But at the moment i refuse to farm bone chips and grind seafurries or guards for plat to rebuy my 60k in gear again.
if there is anyone at all that is plat heavy and feels like donating some to me to get my necro and druid going again even mediocre i would be eternally grateful. Otherwise ill wait for Rogean to discover who did it and handle it then.
Thank you all for your attention to this postand comments offered. I wish P99 well till i see you again.
Tluth T`zire proud member of anonymous and P99

This is sad to hear.
You're pretty high level and well connected; how about instead of rebuying your gear, going out and fighting for it? I'm sure you will have some friends/guildies help you out!

Sounds like you follow poor username/password practices.

I'm not making any accusations, but Lune's post of scepticism got me thinking about reasons someone may get 'stripped' without being hacked.
I suppose if someone were to RMT off server (including turning xp into tunnel tokens with sac) they might try make this claim, but I suspect they might get caught out by staff. As this is the second time Tluth has had the problem I think it is safe to say he didn't RMT off server but had his things stolen as claimed.

Giving your password to someone who then uses it for nefarious purposes isn't "getting hacked". If you want an accurate representation of hacking, watch the documentary titled "Hackers" co-starring Angelina Jolie.

I didn't share my info with anyone and my password used letters number and shift key symbol. Not really sure what else i had to do. And yes it was hacked. When i left because i got incarcerated i had regained 55 on necro and was fully geared and 4 toons and 2 mules w gear. They are now stripped. So unless i logged in in jail, i was hacked.
There is no need to act like a punk calling someone out on crap that happened to them, when i have been a member here off and on since 2010.
Have a great day and hope your acct is never compromised.

Wow Tluth, that's a name I haven't heard in a long long time. Hopefully they can track and recover your stuff. Do you remember or know anyone who had your info?
Eshan hi man, yeah first time was when i quit TR for 2 yrs. That time i was sac'd and stripped 2 toons sac'd to 46. Im sure it was one of our officers then as 3 people had the info for using me for corpse banks in sky.
My fault there, this time i hadnt shared my info with a soul, was only offline maybe 4 months... and came back to a non sac'd acct with no gear and they took the time to put cloth and leather on em and make them look geared still.
This was not my doing as im sure if Rogean actually looks into the ip log from that time he will not see my ip logged in at all. Because i was locked up for 45 days and not playing p99 rest of time to get my life back in order.
To the haters calling me out for sharing info, unless you see me say anywhere i gave my info out, do not assume at all i shared it. I learned my lesson the first time from trusting guildies with my 59 necro then.
Releveling has cost me a grat amount of time and energy to regear my 4 playable toons and lvl the druid and necro back. There isnt a chance in hell i would hand out my info, i am never drunk online or on drugs, so that possibility is ruled out as well.
Like stated earlier my pw consisted of letter numbers and symbols and was 14 digits long, aside from having a secure link to the server with a key fob that alerts me when an ip isnt mine, im not sure what the fack else id have to do to keep my acct safe.
Keep your lame comments silent, you do not know me and most likely i was here playing before you were. with the exception of 15% of these people.

And you obviously dont realize that your not the first person to post something like this and most the other times it was because they gave out info. If you got hacked the blame is on you somewhere. Either you didnt have secure password(just cause you use numbers/letters/symbols doesnt mean its secure if you use words/numbers that mean something to you), gave out info, have keylogger on your PC etc. That why you have so many replies about giving out info.

1) you shared your password or your password was a joke/same as account name
2) what was done the first time you petitioned? did you change password? did you take ANY steps to prevent this happening again?
3) GM's CAN fix everything that happend, and they should. hacking accounts and theft isn't very widespread, because you get caught, and banned for it. but if you dont prove you are innocent and you dont take steps to prevent this from happening again, you are wasting your time and more importantly the time and effort used to correct your issue.
I hope you get your issue fixed and your items returned, and i hope you aren't a liar who sold all your shit before you left and are trying to get it back now that you want to play again.

The reason people think you gave out your info is they are stuck with logical brains. Why would just you be hacked? How could it even be done? It's not like you can brute force here without staff noticing, if it is even possible.
A keylogger is possible I guess, but someone who wanted your stuff would have had to have sent you a program that only you installed, and it would have to be pretty good for your antivirus not to find it. If you really think this happened, you should wipe your computer immediately, change your bank account/credit card numbers. Also, you need identity theft protection alerts.
It really doesn't add up at all, sorry you lost your stuff though.

I'm pretty outdated on net security but is hostile java still a thing? Like going to one of the outside p99 sites like the auction tracker/ ahungry kind of sites having a malicious script built in? Not saying those sites did but wasn't that a big thing for a while?

I didn't share my info with anyone...
Just so you know: close friends and family members (people who have access to your computer) are not above suspicion. If I had a dime for every time I've heard, "Oh wait. I gave my homie/brother/wife/daughter..." I'd have about... tree-fitty.
The first person I ever heard of that got "hacked" back during classic live was "hacked" by a "best friend" who just learned his password by staying over for a weekend and looking over his shoulder while logging in.

Seriously, I hope you get your stuff back.
99% of the time, you've either shared your login info in some manner or you've used an easily guessable password. People who know something about you, like your favorite band, favorite food, partner's name, etc., are also very likely to be able to guess your password if it has anything to do with any of these.
There are legit hacker tools that can brute force you down if the attacker knows your login, but your account would show (at minimum) hundreds of login fails in a short time. You could also have a keylogger, but I think your bank account would be a sweeter target that your imaginary stuff in a p99 account.
In all, it's really, extremely, unlikely that you got 'hacked' in the sense of someone with mysterious powers just randomly cracking into accounts on a 15 yr old elf sim, as people like to call it.
