I have recently achieved the initial rank of class mastery and associated title of Disciple. I am currently exploring Karnor's Castle and have been rewarded with invaluable experience. I am wondering what other areas might provide an experienced monk such as myself with comparable challenges that my growth might continue at a steady rate.

I enjoy collaborative adventure to solo action and as such prefer areas that are more frequented by adventurers. I recently visited Nagafen's Lair and while inspiring in some regards and unsettling in others, I was disappointed to find so few adventurers.

How long might the average adventurer remain in Karnor's before they find group experiences no longer rewarding?

Where might they go thereafter?

I have considered making for Old Sebelis or the Labrynth of Velketor the Sorceror, but feel those endeavors are best left to the future once I have attained at least the 5th rank of mastery as a true Master of Pu'Tang Do.

You are taking trolling to a whole new level you sack of sh!t - The Wu'Tang will not tolerate your existence forever my friend...

The painful truth is 55+ sucks everywhere. That’s why the Chardok exploit factory is so popular.

My personal favorite zone to level in 50-60 is the Hole, but you will 100% need to bring your own group and that is a pain in the ass in its own right.

In general, you are going to get better XP leveling in Kunark. Velious mobs have more life and Velks population seems to have dropped off a lot from what I can tell (could just be bad luck on my part).

KC is pretty good through 55 – Most make the mistake of doing full groups, better to make smaller groups if you want the XP to flow. You could theoretically level all the way to 60 in there if you enjoy pain. Basement mobs seem to yield better XP

Sebelis is always a good choice. You need to learn to pull Fungus King and you can farm yourself a Tunic as well (its not hard, just need to levitate and learn where to stand). Decent loot and the XP is good.

I know your hoping there is something that you havn’t thought of, but there really is not. Your best option is to make friends with as many shamans and necromancers as possible and you guys Duo the sh!t out of blue mobs

EDIT: At some point you are going to need to start killing Giants in Kael for faction if you want quest armor. Might be worth a shot trying to get in some XP groups in Kael and kill 2 birds with 1 stone...can maybe get your armor drops as well

With solid gear (read: a fungi) you can damn near grind to 60 solo in SolB. Bugs, bats, and LDCs are solid exp for a long ass time, and a duo/trio at efreeti is still great XP. Velks is mostly a bring your own group kinda thing but like the warmbody said the exp is slower because Velious mobs have more HP generally.

The Hole isn't that bad as long as you can get solo pulls, you can flop to the drop down and just maul everything in that area. A fungi is incredibly relevant for soloing though, it speeds everything up. Get one ASAP.

Another important monking item you need before you can really do anything fun is a Workmans Sledgehammer (the one that can teliport you to OT). The higher level you get, the more "boxed in" you become as you try to find camps. Hole is a great example of this, once you drop in there is no getting out unless you have a Evac/Succor. Sebelis is another zone that is a PITA to leave unless you fight out or are at Fungi King camp.

You can typically buy puppet string use from any of the major guilds for 2k I think. Even lesser guilds like BDA might have a charge or 2 for sale. This should be priority #1 for you right now. Could probably join and guild and get it for free if you play your cards right

Thank you very much for the responses! I greatly appreciate all of the guidance, but am somewhat disappointed that there was to something I had overlooked. I suppose I will stay the course in Karnor's but keep to smaller parties for the time being and seek out partners for Nagafen's lair as the opportunities present themselves ^^ I've made friends of a handful of necromancers and shaman, but have not tried partnering with any. This far my experiences have been almost entirely fully grouped. I'll work to change that though.

I was saving for a bag, because I thought that might aid me in collecting loot to fin acne other purchases. I had heard of the hammer you mentioned, but had thought it was not within my reach since Sathir's followers approve neither of my worship of Quelliois nor my pale skin. I am most pleased to learn though that they can be purchased! That is very exciting news )

I have witnessed the power of fungal regeneration and am excited about the prospects of that power. I do not own an tunic though and the frugality of my current condition - fostered by my pilgrimage - all but guarantees that I will not be able to purchase one any time in the near future. I have a few questions though.

Are there any deleterious effects of fungal regrowth? I've only seen it at work on lizards and ogres, who differ markedly from me of course. I've a fair complexion and sensitive skin and would hate to see it tarnished in the pursuit of power. I go to considerable lengths to care for the body Quelliois has given me and would not want to damage it in the selfish pursuit of power. Also, what about nails? Are they in any way affected?

Thanks again!

What nails are we talking about? Galvanized? Those and hammers should be fine.
