was hoping to use it at a yha (small hotel) that i could plug it into a lcd tv, but this thing doesnt seem to have a vga out port or better. which is rather odd.....

the small screeen is gonna get annoying tbh. its perfrct size to carry about though in a small back pack.

In my search I had at one point also considered a small EQing computer and was bummed when the netbook market died down hehe. Although chromebooks seem to be near the same price range, not sure if they're able to run EQ but I think I've seen others asking around here about em:

Runs EQ just fine along with even newer games that arent very memory intensive. The machine is built like a tank too. Picture isnt that great compared to newer screens but it serves its purpose. It doesnt have VGA but has a HDMI slot.

Intel Atom is x86. So that means yes, it can run EQ.
