This is like the 4th? 5th? server to be just fucking full of exploits that even a god damn retarded Erudite could of prevented.

Honestly, this was probably intended as a secret way to help friends of Image/Devnoob - much like the invisible buff stations on last box

If i had taken it seriously i wouldn't of exploited over 3000 pvp points in 3 days in my spare time. i knew i was going to get caught, but 3 days i mean yikes(server is shit,knew from past experience). i threw a lot of the plat back into the traders in baz. gave 5k amounts out to random people. Lotta drop transferring of pvp items, lots of bd bracers,see invis bracers.

In the end i was looking for a way into the coveted clan known as "THE DIAMOND BROS" and knew this exploit would launch me into the threshold.

eq is built on finding out what you can and cant do with its mechanics, i always found that to be one of the most intriguing parts of the game.

There's no way that something as random as bone chips all of a sudden qualifies for a pvp ticket unless it's on purpose, also we found out the exploit through word of mouth.. lmfao the people he put it in for were the same ones running their mouth about it.

If your going to build a script to do this don't use an NPC that everyone uses. Pick a random oddball npc in the bowels of Neriak or something.

Also, add some more checks to the NPC your fattening up to ensure only the people you're intending to use it are able to.

And finally... Make sure the friends that you've written a custom tailored cheat script for can keep their retarded mouths shut and have the self control to spread their gains out over some time.

Your prolly dont see us pvp because most of us dont get on until 10pm eastern (we have jobs). Or its the weekend. That and we dont really care about a guild tag, and half our toons are unguilded. No one is greasing devnoob/images palms with shit, all of our toons can be seen on the leaderboard with their correct killshots/pvp points.

Item names were not checking properly on Barnaby, since everyone's ear is a unique item (has its own ID) we have to check the item name instead. The string check was not working correctly and looking for the characters (any of) in any order instead of specifically "'s ear".

I had my ears to the street. People who played launch might remember people asking in OOC repeatedly where you can get bonechips. There were some weird answers I picked up on. In addition to bonechips not being found on the usual merchants from last box.

It's as if they want 30 people sitting in the Nexus on their 50 person server, instead of, you know, actually playing the game.

Comparing red99 and Zek isn't really comparable at all... Zek isn't supposed to be legit and it isn't supposed to be some permanent server.. Server has been a lot of fun since it dropped and if you didn't play then you simply missed out.. Sure it will probably start getting stale soon and then the season will be over.. nbd.. was fun.

Red99 on the other hand is attempting to be legit and is the closest EMU you will find to classic. Red99 is fun and the PvP has more meaning but the issue is it is just stale and isn't enough PvP. Mostly just tears and lawyerquesting.

Now if you are insinuating that anyone from Dentists got hooked up with anything then, id suggest checking the servers history. We arent exactly liked by dev/image as much either.

Bone chip ticket characters were deleted, and probably nonfactors anyways.

Cheaters got bannedeleted, I'm still decked out with my fire swords while dirty whistles rerollin.

In an attempt to balance classes they made so many custom changes that every class is too strong except for 2-3 that were completely left out. To even stand a chance now you gotta pick an OP class and sit there and die 100x until you have a chance against people with kunark/velious loot during a classic era server. Once you are on even ground you fight in towns forever?

I would rather have the server be classic teams server. I don't like custom content outside of things like translocators, bind npcs, tweaking to resists/melee damage. The custom items and content built around cities are negatives to me, obviously some people like it because they are putting in a lot of hours.

Saying every class is viable is a long shot. There are plenty of examples of how several classes are broken and some have way too many added benefits. Mage/knights are way out of whack. Yes, a shaman is viable because they need to make potions. Enchanters are viable because they can dispel. Necros are viable because their life tap can land and they have pets. These are things they can perform well but it is a very limited compared to what the class is supposed to play like.

My paladin has 800 points and is just now starting to run out of stuff to buy. I'm top 15 and have not been very casual so I don't think the pvp shop is a problem.

With planar gear, bot and plane of sky there will be plenty of places to find group pvp. Though I think the 50 bracket will be the end of the road for solo players as all the pve is 100% group required.

All in all the city system needs tweaks, melee hit rate is redic, channelling need work. Jury is still out on itemization as we wait for additional unlocks.
