Going Linkdead When Creating Characters

I can get to the character creation screen and all that, select my race, class, stats, type my name, and everything. Then when I try to enter the world, if the name is already taken, it lets me go back and change it like normal, but if the name is available, the screen goes black and tells me I went linkdead when it tries to enter the world. It takes me immediately back to the login screen, and continues to do this. The character remains uncreated.

I can still log in with any of my regular characters, this only consistently happens when I try to create characters. Please help!

are you trying to create unclassic combinations such as halfling ranger? what are you trying to make

You cant make any halfling rangers or paladins or gnome paladins or shadowknights. They arent classic combos sadly. They were added in Luclin.

I see. Yeah, about 20 minutes after I posted this, I started searching and saw that was mentioned. I didn't realize those classes were illegal. Thanks folks!
