Now is a good time to return. GoonSwarm Federation along with the rest of the CFC coalition (now known as the Imperium) is under attack by pretty much everyone. Never played EvE - always kinda wanted to but never pulled the trigger. So from what I can tell you build space ships and fly around the universe gathering resources and fighting? I am probably simplifying way too much?

I played Eve a few months after it came out. The learning curve was sorta brutal. Basically pay to build skills. That's the game. Until you have certain skills (maybe 1 year of RL playing) you are just a target.

Join a corp. Always make sure you are training something. After about 6 real months of training, start buying clones.

Mine....mine more and mine some more on top of what you mine in the beginning and in the end.

You aren't missing much with your perspective, but you are missing one hell of an exciting game.

not true anymore, you now start with 2mil sp or some shit with all the basic skills. you can easily kill people in the first few hours of playing with the right guidance. i have over 50 kills on a t1 fit thorax i made just for the luls. same fitting can be used by a 2 week old newb.
