BFG damage parsed?

I was wondering how viable the BFG is, for a ranger, without trueshot activated, assuming 100% haste + 3 damage arrows.

Anyone ever parsed that?

its alright, similar to skysword (12/21) but not as reliable. Wouldn't use in normal group but its nice in say HoT where i can summon new arrows between fights. BFG rly don't generate much aggro at all.

Super gross with trueshot. Rangers regularly outDPS even our rogues at Vindi.

Last I heard, the BFG wasn't reporting correctly that it was dealing double damage to a stationary target like it should because Archery on 50+ Ranger.

To my knowledge: BFG should double damage on stationary targets, be increased by Trueshot, be hasted by quiver haste, and do generate 0 aggro.

mmmm it pretty much do all of this. It does 2xdmg on stationary targets, trueshot work alright, quiver haste works too, dunno if it's 0 aggro but it's next to nothing (always assumed it's because it's just so fucking slow) and it does gross dps with trueshot and good arrows

My theory was always that the Hate was calculated from the arrow's Damage/Delay. And because arrows don't actually have a delay, it calculates the hate out to a very very low number, assuming the delay is huge.

I know on Al'Kabor our Rangers would always be the final ones to die especially if they were out ranging AEs by shooting from max range.

So with 8 DMG arrows you get a .56 ratio primary + trueshot... that could be fun. 50 Del is so bad though.

when its in primary you still get double attack? which as far as I know, doesnt happen on a bow?

You still dual wield (offhand also hits).
You still double attack each hand.
You get double damage on non-moving mobs.
You get crits.
You get haste.
You get primary damage bonus.
You get trueshot.

BFG is fantastic for rangers, you get the best of ranged attacks with the best of primary, but it eats up a lot of arrows.

Don't expect beating rogues at similar gear level, but that's a fantastic boost anyway.

BFG ranger on trueshot can very much beat rogues on a fight lasting between 45sec and 3min, after that, depends

it more than 10 hrs?

hope the spawn loc isnt random as well...but am hearing not. dunno what to believe anymore :P

50 del ain't bad for red pvp, except you'd want to use a 2h and the trueshot shit wouldn't work on anyone who wasn't casting. cool gimmick item tho knockback clicky/procs are great for trollin your own guildies in PoSky.

Ive literally found 2 sitting next to each other. They appear to be random spawns in a certain area of zone. I found 4 planks with about 1-2 hours effort
