Hello, i recently went from my old 60GB SSD to a new 256GB SSD,
my old 60GB SSD had Linux Mint 17.2 installed, Wine and had the game working perfectly.
now i just finished installing Win7 / Linux Mint 17.2 on my new ssd (Dual boot):

i mounted to my old ssd, and tried copying over my working EQ folder over, and when i try to load up the game it gives me a Driver Verification thingy, then i go log in, it goes to character selection screen, displays my char list, but no character graphic, and it's all black, then it crashes before you can do anything.

-

also tried installing Everquest Titanium fresh, this time after completing the installation i followed the Getting started page from the wiki, deleted the required files, moved in the patched stuff ( live i have been doing since day 1):

now when this gets to char selection screen, the screen is no longer all black, which is awesome yay one thing fixed.. but, instead of displaying my char selection, it says (spells are outdated etc); but i legit just did it.. i thought i fucked up, so i deleted it, and re-installed EQ, nope.. same thing occurs when doing this method.

TLDR :
IF - Copied from Old drive, on char selection screen it displays names of chars, but everything is black then crashes

IF - new install, on char selection screen it displays background, but says spells are out dated.

my specs
Currently using a 970GTX - using Nvidia-352 (recommended) (Driver Manager)
Linux Mint 17.2 (64bit)
wine 1.6.2

Tried copying my dads EQ files from his Windows machine, and so far.. it's gotten the best results
this time.

Win7 machine to Linux Mint 17.2
just launched (Launch_titanium.bat) with wine, like every other time
this time it displayed my character names, as well as the background, and the weps but the actual character model is invisible, and it allows me to log into game, and such without any problems..

so the only issue i would say is everyone is invisible with weps/shields...

not the best thing lol.. i mean it's prob playable, but i rather see people LOL

from the chromebook/ubuntu guide, its all about the vertex shaders:

One issue of note that I ran into was there being no character models when I got into the game, or on char select. To fix this:

- edit eqclient.ini, where VertexShaders=TRUE change to VertexShaders=FALSE

^ What he said, need to change a line or two in eqclient.ini (running Mint 17.0 and 17.2 myself)

did you modify the executable to include the patchme as in:

"C:\P99\EverQuest Project 1999\eqgame.exe" patchme

That alone cause me to receive the 'spell file is outdated' message.
