Odd Question

i quit this server around 3-4 years ago. just came back. however when i quit there was someone who kept spamming ec and places non stop and posting all kinds of vile pictures and porn on the forums. i see this problem got fixed, however i was wondering if they figured out who it ever was?

You are on the internet. You are playing a game that was back in the day also played by fine gentlemen like Sam Deathwalker. At any given moment, there is x probability at least one variation on Travis Bickle is on the other end of a keyboard, playing SuperCreep among the elf simulator community in game or on the fprums, where x > probability the Pope is Catholic.

no i wasnt one of them but i had to quit the forums as i have children and it was ridiculous that you never knew what thread was going to be filled with images of beheaded people and murder scenes or gay porn gifs while one of my young kids was walking by. i can see that either they got bored or the issue was finally addressed but it was really out of control for awhile and was one of the reasons i had left the server. i have a strong stomach and have seen some gnarly stuff but that doesnt mean i wanted to expose my kids to it. in anycase i was just wondering if they actually figured out who it was or if it was just left as a mystery after all these years.

I'm pretty sure you can turn off images in forums. *checks* Yep, in options "Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)" and you just uncheck that.

As for in-game, it's just text. You can always filter stuff out.

They figured out who it was and forum moderators are generally on top of things these days.

As a precaution against one of our other resident trolls going over the edge and turning into a frothing pit of self-destructive porn-posting misery, you can turn off image/sig/avatar display. (It happens occasionally.)
