Got myself in a situation

So I have been playing this game on and off and finally found a char I like but I was trying to get to Freeport and I got disconnected on the boat between butcherblock and ocean of tears so now I am stuck in the ocean of tears I don't want to back track I was just wondering how safe the water is if I just swim the whole way

There are sharks in the water and some of the islands are home to things that will kill you...but good news, your swimming skill will go up if you swim for it!

You need to make it back to the boat because you can't zone out of OOT without it. Since you're on the FP side, try to swim for Zachariah Reigh island (http://wiki.project1999.com/Ocean_of_Tears) (#2 on the map) and wait at the dock for the boat to pick you up. (Make sure it's going the right way!)

If you're really lost, ask for help in ooc.

You basically can't swim through the zone lines from what I remember. The water isn't real populated with mobs but some are around so be careful. If you look at the map I think it will have stops for the boat so just find the closest stop and head that way.

Technically you can glitch onto the boat from in the water but it could be tough while it's on the move.

If on your way to find the boat you get attacked and are going to die...
#1 spam /l to get a loc on your corpse so you don't lose it.
#2 try not to die in the water

The boats are very scary. You can end up in the middle of nowhere easy; during one of the race events my level one ended up in the water even though I was right in the middle of the boat.

Unless you have a compelling reason to take a boat, you are *always* better off to travel to a druid rings and just sit there; druids come through all the time. Tell them that you're a new player and someone will give you a ride. The key is to be *at* the rings waiting on them so they dont have to wait on you.

cant tell you how many times back in the day i went LD on a boat because of shoddy dial up. come back online to be at your bind and no clue as to where your corpse is. good times. its why before i got on a boat i always put all my gear in the bank before i took it so if i died it was just an xp loss and my gear would be in the bank safe and sound.

I've fallen off the glitchy boat from TD to by the BB zone line. I figured I would try zoning with the shuttle boats over to BB. I swam right next to the boats or some what under them and it worked. I've also done this with another that got bounced from the boat, on my bard. We levitated and ran right in line with the shuttles and it worked. Just thought I would throw that out therein case anyone else ends up in the same spot.

Just want to thank the Druid who helped out and ported me and gave me a bind in Freeport. Then I took the treacherous journey to qeynos after a few deaths I made it another kind player gave me a bind there. Now it's time to head to the catacombs and get some alligator tooth earrings. By the way does anyone know what level the undead knight is who drops the limestone ring in the sewers? The wiki says its 35 but it says there a like three of them so I don't think it is that high

How about setting up a hot key with the command /corpse, targeting yourself and spam the corpse button while riding the boat? Would it pick up your corpse when you went over it?
