The province I am in pays our teachers a top end of $97,000 for duel degree (i.e., B.Ed, B.Sc.) but only have about 8 weeks off in summer and 2ish for December. So if you don't like your salary and your degree is recognized take a look at some other countries.

You are laughably uninformed. Let's say you pay 1500 for your apartment per month. 1500 x 12 is 18k. Let's say 400 a month for food, 250 for car insurance, 150 for health insurance. That's 22k a year which covers room and board, car & health insurance, food and leaves plenty of money for extra expenses. If you live in buttfuck america your rent will be lower then the 1500 per month and can live in relative comfort. If you can survive off 45k in NYC while still saving money you can easily do it elsewhere with less money when you aren't in one of the most expensive cities in the world

Im guessing its way worse in the states, but even in Montreal where public school is decent, you had kindergarden teachers doing jaw dropping stuff like telling 5 year old kids they are stupid because they cant tie their own shoes or ripping a drawing because "its ugly, start over". I used to work as an afterschool homework assistant guy thing.

Experienced this even at a small private Catholic school in 2nd grade.

Teacher was an angry bitter beast heading towards menopause without marriage or children in sight. Took it out on the class singling people out constantly, then like an abuser would demand people react positively to her and demand people smile. No kids and surrounded by kids all day, bad mix. I'm surprised none of us got stabbed.

Her husband was running for the state senate. He wrecked his car in a DUI case about halfway through his campaign. Their engagement went down in flames. She is probably still miserable. There is a god :)
