oh yeah and anyone remember the chat room that was within the server select screen? It had a ton of categories and all sorts of stuff and everyone went there when we couldn't log in correctly or whatever i don't even know how im remembering this it was so long ago. i played on the prexus server I must of been 9 years old. I remember one time someone got my account put on hold cause i wasn't even 13 yet and it was a 13+ game lol. oh yeah and my birthday is on the same date that the game came out march 16th

Believe he was referring to the chat rooms being interesting around patches, not that they were only available during patches.

The best part of this video is the WoW vs the world flame war happening in the comments.

There was also a program to connect to chat channels from outside the game, so you could talk to people in game without actually logging in.

I can't remember what it was called though.
