Project LFG is LIVE!!

You heard that correctly! I got frustrated seeing people shout throughout the lands of Norrath – “Ranger LFG!” I felt bad for those poor Rangers! I wanted to do something about it…:)

What I basically did was create a web application to bring the /lfg feature to Project 1999. It was an in-game feature released in a later expansion after Velious. That means it will never be available in-game on the Project 1999 server. I think it’s such an essential tool for bringing people together. After all – we are getting older with more responsibilities and need to maximize our productivity with the limited time we have to play. No one should be spending hours /lfg

What browser are you using? What is sending up this flag?

Anyone else getting keylogger flags when using this service?

You might be seeing these because I prevent certain keyboard characters from being input in the text boxes (i.e. special characters, numbers, etc.). No character names or guilds have them in game so I don't allow them to be input. They way I do it is to check what you type against my rules and decide whether to prevent it or not. That's it - pretty harmless :)

Haha! I guess I should wait until a more active day or weekend to bump this? Not really. There are a lot of people that use the application after hours and during the weekends for sure. Most people just go on it to search for other people listed. I am trying to hit a population of people that play at different times. Imagine if everyone went to this site and said "Wow really cool - even if Im the only person on it - its worth a shot." It only takes 5 seconds to list yourself and you could save countless time looking for a group. That does two things. #1 Increases your odds of finding a group. #2 Adds 1 more person using the application and encourages other people to do the same thing. It's a site that can make grouping awesome. Just need the naysayers to hop on board. Everyone wants to visit the site and see a ton of people listed as LFG - am I right? Then start using it and it will happen. I'm only trying to "sell" you on the idea of using the site. The site is completely free to use.
