What happened to posting gifs and pics?

Been off of the forums for a while, what changed? When I use the same process I always have for posting gifs and images on the forums I only get a text link to the image.

Hi Pals,

I made a quick change to the forums this morning. Any embedded pictures (via IMG) will be converted to links unless they are hosted on IMGUR.

This isn't to stop anything recent in particular, however imgur is a reliable image cdn and will make the website load faster in general. It will also increase security as pictures from other domains could be used to track and collect IP Addresses.

IMGUR is an extremely simple service to use with many options for quickly uploading and linking/embedding images. It will also accept an existing URL, making it easy to convert any image over to IMGUR before embedding here.
