I used to play on Bristlebane and Xegony. Really looking to get back into the game. What classes are in high demand?

Can never have too many clerics.

cleric/rogue/monk if you want to be active in raiding. enchanter/necro/wizard/bard if you want to afk raid.

Top Demand imo Priest = Cleric, Melee = Rogue, tank = SK/War, Caster = Wiz/Ench

Over populated classes = Druid, Shaman, Monk, Necro, Mage, bard (most of this is based on the number of level 60s across a large period of time)

Classes no one takes serious imo,.. Ranger, Paladin

Classes that can be played well rather than poorly.

Mage is not over populated, there are not many mages around. But its a low utility class and not so much in demand.

You need to specify if you want to be in group demand or raid demand, that may change your preferences. While wizards suck in normal xp groups (AE groups is a different thing), they are in some demand for raids. So if raiding is your focus, a wizard might be a good choice, while for normal groups it absolutely sucks. Sustained DPS is really low.

There is always the holy trinity in groups. Tank/healer/dps. Those who do best at these tasks usually have an easier time finding a group. Enchanter/bard are also wanted because they speed up things for everyone, but there are quite a lot of them there.

Top demand classes are trackers willing to watch mob spawn points over a 16 hour window. ;)

You won't find much EQ going on around here, friend. Roll what you want and enjoy the game while you can.

People say this and then you get to raiding and realize you spent 100 hours or more into a character that is not useful to the way this server does raiding and you quit.

Cleric-->Rogue-->Monk-->Warrior.

If you don't make one of those classes first and you want to raid then you will make one of them as your second character so you can raid or you will just quit. It's your choice.

Roll a cleric. Hit level 60, buy a second monitor and track.

Like I said, not a lot of EQ going on around here.

*** If you want to quest Dragon's Bane / Giant's Bane / Concussion ***

Without those, Wizards suck in Velious.

I don't regret my choices, but then again I don't raid much here. I have sunk hundreds and hundreds of hours into p99, though. So it does depend on how you play.

bktroost is right if you want to raid - you should roll a cleric, rogue, monk, warrior, or wizard. It's not that the other classes can't raid, but they don't play major roles.

If you are grouping, clerics, enchanters, and tanks of all types seem to be in the highest demand. Monks, rogues, and shamans are all popular in groups as well, but they are omnipresent.

I think something that a lot of the hard core people forget is that a lot of people never get to the top end raiding portion of this game because it takes such a large time investment to both get there and stay there. So keep that in mind when you're rolling your character.

or role play a stationary merchant, never get past level five, risk your health sitting in EC tunnel acquiring increasingly valuable wares by low-balling sellers and high-balling buyers. soon you will be the richest fat cat in Norrath.

we definitely need more of these.

Clerics are always in high demand everywhere.

For raids, the demand for bards is pretty high. If played well, these days without the xp penalty they're in pretty high demand for groups assuming you aren't one of 'those guys' who did nothing but aoe kite your way up and know how to play your class.

Either was deleted (e.g trannyporn etc), or got banned in-game. I've seen players get banned their first day :D Rightly so.

Yeah, looking at his post history, he actually seemed like he was a good guy :P It makes me really curious as to what happened to him. Probably was doing his research, and then bought a bunch of plat to twink, not knowing it was illegal af haha
