Hey guys, Kaspur here
Finally done with Phinny, I am moving onward to Neh`Ashiir . I hadn't been in CoM much so i don't know the zone well. Last time I see Neh`Ashiir was part of the shammy quest and seem like getting him to spawn is kinda hard as you have to kill a bunch of high hp/summon reaver to spawn him.
I'd love to hear how you guys approach this part of the quest, any shortcut in CoM to get to him, how many player is needed for this ..etc
thanks

You're going to need a decent amount of dps/healing to get her to spawn out of consecutive reavers, but once she spawns she should just sit there (if she's anything like ghiosk), allowing for much needed med breaks. I recommend pulling the reavers out of the way (maybe by Lhranc's office near the arena) if getting them off a train from the castle through sneak/fd pulling (i'm sure there'll be at least 4 manks in CoM at any one time :P). I never got up to the higher levels to where she's listed on the wiki map, so i'm not sure if that'd be a better venue. Perhaps some levi scouting is in order. I know chanters love soloing up there in air elemental form.
Now, my only encounter with neh'ashiir was short lived. We had found her spawned by the arena and decided to try our hand at her. Her pet hit the SK tanking hard, and you absolutely must dispell her damage shield; that's what killed my group of high 40s. I died while blinded with the damage shield/pet doing big work on me. While we were regrouping/CRing it very much looked like a necro and a shammie duo'd her, undoubtedly in their mid-high 50s.
Let me know if you need a 53 bard to play you some soothing tunes all whilst looking devilishly handsome during your CoM adventures.

Duoed Neh many times during Kunark using Druid x2 with puppet strings or Druid / monk.
The challenge with the reavers is just having a decent enough tank that your mana isn't an issue.
Enchanter charmed pet + cleric CH should hold up pretty indefinitely to reavers. Alternatively Torpor shaman + tank/monk works just fine too.
Getting up to it can be a pain. But with levitate and double Invis/IvU run all the way up there safely. You just have to levitate and jump onto 2nd floor, levitate to center building, get double invis, and levitate to the cloud city to the final building. If you've never done this before I suggest taking someone who has because you have to levitate across to a bridge when you reach a locked door and some people sink too quickly for this when they don't know how to do it.
The torch isn't too uncommon. If he is holding nothing he has the torch. He is a cleric and enchanter. Meaning you need to root his pet, dispel his buffs/haste and push him at 40% to interrupt CHs.

Is there a way to pull him out w.o a rog?

I read the other day that Neh can be pulled through a hole in the floor nearby, from the lower level. I've never been up there, so I'm not sure if it's a valid strategy or not.
Can anyone confirm?

I used to go to CoM with 2 or 3 other mages (level 55+) and pull the reaver with a pet through the door, and bring him way down to the ground below. We'd just change pets on him until Neh spawned and chain on him. Easy peasy

very nice, that is what we're trying to do atm, with 2 or 3 mages. how did you target him w.o a rog, did you body aggro, used eye of zom or something? would love to know
thanks,

The torch isn't too uncommon.
As with many drops, it's random so bad luck stretches can happen. The Mage I helped with this needed more than twenty kills before he got his torch; I helped on most of those. Neh Ashir can be duo'd but I think it's done best with 3 or 4 people. The most dangerous part was that sometimes during the pull, the reaver would fall to the lower level, leaving the puller to feign while the reaver walked back up. I've never fought it on the lower level due to wanting to avoid disrupting experience groups. If you're really unlucky you can potentially get ten reavers or more before Neh Ashir spawns, so be prepared for that possibility. Most the time it seems to be about 3-5 reavers.

I killed Neh 13 times and no torch. Lots of shields though. Yes, you can eye target him or pet or something like that.
I ended up getting the Torch MQ'd. Same with Phinny. I killed Phinny like 10 times and NO staff. Then a in game friend said they killed him without me and he dropped 2 water staves. NOW! I wasn't there, but I have no reason not to believe that.
Anyway, Mage epic is stupidly difficult to get, but when you do get it, in this era, it's well worth it.

thanks for the info guys
We have managed to killed him a few times now and yead the pull is the most tricky part of the encounter. We pet aggro the golem inside the room with him by parking one pet near the door, the golem aggro pet and we down him that way. After golem is dead, our gnome do /target a black reaver and we assist him. I cannot do /target a black reaver on my HE somehow, not sure. We all then summon our pets near the door(make sure pet is on follow after summoned over), send pet in and lev down to the ground while spamming pet back off. This is the tricky part cause sometime our pets are on the ground but we cannot see him for awhile until he summon someone, after that is easy
So far 4 kills :
2 ranger 2h
1 shield
1 torch

For what it's worth, I pulled the golem in his room with Holgresh Elder Beads yesterday by getting as close to the door as possible, sitting, standing up again and casting. The eye appears a bit in front of you, so this is possible to pull from behind doors.
When the golem came he brought the Reaver too.

It's valid. I usually pull the final reaver myself and jump down to the bridge. It does have a tendency to train the shit out of the zone some of the time,
but I figure if you've got a rezzer for the low levels.. I'm a bad person.

We kinda found a decent way to pull reaver now. Single pull the golem out of room is fairly easy, just part your pet >>near<< door, it'll aggro the golem solo, kill it.
As for reaver, we all target him using /target a black reaver( now I still can't do it on my HE, but both gnome in my group can, dunno), summon companion in front of door, have it on follow. When all rdy send pet in and run down >>opposite the direction of door(that way you drop down from the gap)
Once on ground we all use summon companion. Once pets at our side, we spam pet back off, within 10 sec or so, the reaver will appears, summon companion if your pet get summon.
It's is very important to run the opposite direction of the door that way the reaver run there as well and drop on the ground, run any other direction and you will risk of him running through moat with tons of mobs. We have done it so far maybe 4-5 times this way and he apprears on the ground withing 10-15sec or so.
10 kills so far:
5 ranger staffs
4 shield
1 torch

Hey guys,
Just an updated on the progress, finally got the torch yesterday 2/16/17.
After we spawned him for 23+ times, found an easy way to pull.
I log on my necro, cleared 3rd floor 2nd area, summon pet at near reaver door at gap, target a_mist_golem run back over to the area b4 the gap, send pet in and spam back. Once I see the reaver and golem, I root the golem and fd and dismiss pet. I stand back up and go near golem to aggro them both, reaver will run toward me and fall down the ground. I then fd, he'll start walking back. after this I switch to my mage on ground with another mage and wait for the reaver to path back and fall down to the ground again, which takes some time. Easy pz from there. We gonna go at it till we get another torch
Kill count :
23+ neh spawned
9+ shield
8+ staff
2 torches
Now that I got the torch, only Crown of elemental mastery and Hate staff left, any idea which guild are actively doing PoS and PoH atm or actively working on their member epic?

Lots of guilds do Sky still I believe.
Europa, Anonymous, Azure Guard, Omni, Clue, Fires of Heaven
That being said that crown can be bought.
PoHate staff though... I'm guessing every guild on this server has a list of 5+ Magicians waiting on a staff to finish their epic.

I didn't see this post until now. And ya, what Dald said. GL on staff.
I would just join a guild, have fun, stay active and eventually your turn in line will come.

This.
Nothing rubs me the wrong way more than someone joining a guild to acquire their epic. These individuals tend to only attend raids that benefit them. Like only showing up to PoHate, or only showing up to VS on a wizard, etc.
Join a guild, meet some people, have fun. Eventually your epic will come.
If the only thing you're concerned about is your epic, and you don't want to join a guild, I'd say save up platinum and buy the MQ.

I think you should play the game however you want and not how the guy with over 10,000 posts on elf board does. If you want to join a guild for just your epic do it!
