Anyone ever try this? Using a reclaim energy clicky?

I enjoy magicite's posts. Nothing wrong with asking questions and making observations.

It's not practical. Judging by the wiki, the Flaming Sword of Xuzl pet works like the cleric's Unswerving Hammer of Faith pet, which attacks whatever you have targeted and dies if its target dies. The hammer also dies if you have someone mesmerize it. :( With 80ish hp, the hammer somehow dies in combat even if a player is tanking. I got a reclaim energy clicky on my cleric, but I haven't found a way to use the hammer pet as a mana battery the way shamans do. Maybe if you have someone else root it (not a druid); but mine also managed to die while rooted.

Can you cast it on yourself? With wiz epic having it follow you around doing no dmg and being able to reclaim hundreds of mana would be cool.

The mana cost on flaming sword is gigantic, and you will probably fizzle it many times since wizards have low conj pre familiars.

Even if you succeeded you would have the same amount of mana you used to cast the spell if you are lucky, so what would the point be?

what would the point be?

The idea would be to cast the pet, regen mana, then engage; and reclaim the pet after using 700+ mana, so you basically have a bigger initial mana pool. I heard shamans do this to give themselves more mana to land a slow on a resistant target.

It would be cool to figure out how to do it as a wizard or cleric for a raid target. I'm not sure it's possible because of the limitations of their weird little pets...

even if it did work, you better get real friendly with casting eye of zomm 20,000 times to get your conjuration high enugg

It would be cool to figure out how to do it as a wizard or cleric for a raid target. I'm not sure it's possible because of the limitations of their weird little pets...It disappears 5 seconds after being summoned unless: owner attacks something, something attacks owner, or something attacks pet.

Of those three, the last condition is the most plausible way to keep the pet for any length of time, but still shitty because it requires someone to keep it rooted indefinitely. Also, if they happen to drop aggro for any reason, it poofs.

I was also thinking you could have it smack a mob repeatedly while aggro kiting, then right before it dies, reclaim it back. I got my conj and specializ conj to 50 each to test it out. I need a reclaim energy mage item tho. But oops yea this should be moved to class-specific area, although there are extra strategies with pvp involved.

Thanks for the info worth testing more.
