Hey everyone, having a really curious problem.

When I:

Do raid events like: PoG, ring war, etc.

Do aoe fights: chardok, bard pull

I get really weird problems. I won't DC but sometimes after I cast a spell it doesn't go off or refresh spell gems or hit the mobs for anywhere from +5sec (not so bad), to +2-5min later (unplayable).

It's not my computer because I did all this perfectly before. It happened after I moved to Thailand and started playing with 300ish ms. I play normally fine, but big npc or pc events seem to kill it. If I run away from event to a less populated spot it can help. It doesn't necessarily even DC! I can recover from it sometimes just waiting.

I tried WTFAST but it didn't seem to help. It did show a ping spike when it happened.

It seems directly related to how much is on my screen/proximity. If I do a smaller aoe fight, it's OK; if I don't fight in main ring war area but way on the outskirts, I can sometimes be OK.

I tried server filter 0 to 1. And hiding a ton of chat msgs. I've also tried particle density, clip plane, etc. Doesn't help!

After playing perfectly for months in Los Angeles, it's hard to accept not being able to do whatever I want. 300ms isn't perfect but it's playable; this condition that happens with high volume npc/pc is not.

Any help? Any other info I could offer to help?

Also:

with big aoe stuff - I don't have an ms increase or have my % drop at all. I just see my actions delayed, receive other people's msgs delayed etc. IF i just wait, I can eventually recover

With ring war, I actually would start going LD and couldn't recover, would slowly DC

Nothing you really are going to do about this. Its a proximity to server/internet issue. You could try turning down all your settings but living so far away and having less then stellar internet i'm presuming in thailand will cause these issues.

Yeah Thailand is very far away.

I have a good connection, though. 55d/20u.

So I feel like it's not my connection itself. But yeah, connection just traveling too far?

Any other thoughts/ideas/suggestions? Kind of flipping out that I'm so limited after originally feeling like despite a little delay I was playing from Thailand pretty well.

Anyone else overseas that can comment too?

Thanks thulak and tupAk

Long shot but call your ISP and see if they are bottle necking to that specific data center the P99 servers are on.

@tupakk prob not possible with language barrier, calling the isp is to a call center that just always says things look good unless you flip out and demand a service person to come out. What is the data center though if I wanted to investigate? Is there a test of some sort I could do to see if this is happening?
