I've heard this game is fantastico. Is it? Or is it another Diablo 3?

Genre/Gameplay: true to prior installments? Innovations?

Graphics: befitting a Bethesda product? Shortcomings?

Story: How does one spin the fourth installment of a post apocalyptic tale?

It's more of a shooter than an RPG like 3 was.

Everyone I know who wasted 60 bucks on it has severe buyer's remorse. Only the simplest of plebeians didn't regret getting it. Those single word responses tho.. "Streamlining" murders another potentially great game.

I'd suggest waiting for next years steam sale if you really wanna get it.

Wouldn't be surprised, GTA V sold $800 million on its first day, compared to Star Wars' $250~ million weekend opening. Helps a lot that it costs $60 compared to $10-$15 movie ticket.

Personally I'm waiting this time around. Bought New Vegas on release thinking I'd play it through and maybe lose £10 but sell it on. Those fuckers ended up dropping from £42.99 down to £25 about 3-4 weeks later and I ended up keeping it.

Great game though, can't deny that...but I can wait for 4 based on some very mixed reviews.

Just remember if you play it that you can PRESS DOWN ON THE PERKS CHART TO UNLOCK STUFF you don't have to max a stat to get to teir 2

Anyone who dont like this game probobly expected something else and don't know what Fallout is all about. Call of Duty is probobly more your game.

Do you play fallout for the FPS? Then dont bother
Do you play fallout for the minecraft part? Then maybe
Do you play fallout for the little things? Then yes this game is for you!

I love the small horror stories you can come across in this game. Dont be that guy just plowing throught missions and not paying attention to the story, you wont enjoy the game.

Read terminals, listen to holotapes and LOOK at whats actually goin on around you

Well that is nifty. I like the minecraft mention too. How's that work out? You gather stuff to build this fort?

Yeah pretty much. You can go into a building mode that lets you scrap busted cars and tree trunks and what not for mats. Plus all the other random junk you find that breaks down into wood or steel you can put towards building structures.

I play Fallout for the SMG shimmy, burning man boogie, lasser bisection, and plasma slag pile (1 & 2). I'm guessing that the death animations still suck in comparison?
