most people were not around during classic, in some cases even kunark, so they have nothing to compare it to.

velious. is shit. I cant camp and log in at a designated hot spot. Thats what you did in classic(Lguk was the shit,sol b druids rooting up to your efreeti grp and fighting, fun as hell, vox and naggy fun as hell guild v guild pvp, lavastorm pvp off the chain, EVERY SINGLE DAY, in classic PVP was everywhere and it was glorious. you couldn't afk anywhere and expect not to die, ontop of that there was an exp loss on death which really should still be in.

kunark... the first year of kunark was ok because everyone was still exping you could travel kunark and go PVP the people at the exp spots and item spots. then after year 3 of kunark you could camp in and out of KC and everyone just as a community agree'd KC was the place you parked your characters and did your PVP. it was ok while it lasted.

PVP will flourish as long as people are willing to keep running around attacking each other. Just because you don't win them all doesn't mean PVP is dead. PVP will stop flourishing when the only people on all wear the same guildtag and cannot attack each other.

pve content consumption rate has 0 relevance here, classic was beaten way faster then velious (tunare still up, aow down last week?), and there was a lot more pvp back then

Red population being around 10-15% of blue population is not something new. It was getting up towards 20% for a bit but that is not the norm.

after your previous post about looking for pvp during Euro prime time... Negativity is strong with this one.

Get out there pick a fight be somebody. If you really are that worried about yt and the leaderboards drop your tag and attack anyone and everyone. If you just want to pvp you can always pvp with your own guildies it doesn't count towards leaderboard but is still a chance to pvp. Just make sure they are on board and don't randomly attack guildies. That is just bad form. Look at it like those games Dead Rising or Dying Light and just jump into the middle of the targets with a bat and start flailing around til you hit something anything.

If they just institute a PvP Teams server, same rules as now as far as pvp death goes, wiped it for vel - transferred toons to the blue or red server of your choice, and restarted it... you'd have a flourishing pvp/pve server that attracts a % of red players, and a % of blue players, likely surpassing the current red pop.

Restart server and run it from classic through Velious with limited time in each(maybe not as fast as Verant did but faster than they did while working on the expansions on P99)
