As I lay here Feigned Death in the depths of Droga, would anyone mind explaining to me the mechanic of 'agro' and how long one can expect to wait before it clears?

Instantly if you /q while flopped ;)

Once all mobs have returned to their spawn points. If you successfully sneak while flopped aggro is cleared instantly and you are free to stand as soon as they begin to leave. Keep in mind though with a sneak cap of 113 it can take several tries before your successfully sneak. Otherwise w/ normal feign death I believe mobs have a 20% greater chance of forgetting you on each successive feign.

Back on live there was a timer on it also, and after being feigned for 2 mins or something all the mobs would forget you, that is not the case here though.

So, currently the broken mechanic for feign death is that SUCCESSFULLY sneaking while mobs are facing away with a SUCCESSFUL feign will result in an immediate 100% mem blur.

A way to tell if sneak is successful while feigned is to see if the button "refreshes" (it will be highlighted if it sticks, just wait a few seconds).

Alternatively, waiting for mobs to return to their respective spawn points will usually clear aggro(although pathing mobs will sometimes take a very LONG time to do this).

There is a chance of a normal feign death providing a mem blur, though this check is applied to every mob you aggro. The chances of a mem blur increase after each feign though.

lastly, remember you do not have to stand up to reapply a feign death, remember that casting mobs are bad news for getting a good fd(use LoS as often as possible), and make sure you are an iksar(for obvious reasons)

This is how it worked on live during this era, not sure if this is how it works here. This is from the patch on Nov 16 1999, referenced in http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/19991201.html but not explained there. I didn't see any other patches changing FD in between then and the release of Luclin.
