The time has come now more than ever to switch away from closed source operating systems like windows and mac os x. In todays society companies just like governments care nothing for your privacy or rights as a human being and they dont work for the people. When it came to gaming I would always justify using windows for instance so I could play a certain game that I wanted to play even in the back of my mind knowing I was giving up freedoms just to play those games. Open source operating systems like linux have come a long long way since being first developed and its easier than ever with just a little bit of learning to get the freedoms you deserve back when using computers in everyday life. P99 as well as many many other games can be run successfully with linux, they may all not be as easy to install as in windows for instance but the extra work and learning is worth it. Lastly id like to share some disturbing aricles with you, the last article has nothing to do with computers but everything to do with Bill Gates and his plan to bring cheap labor into the US to replace us in fields like technology etc. When you look at the mentality and thoughts of Bill you realize he is a sinister man (You should look up info on his father and his ties to Eugenics) Also if you think your safe from spying by not using windows 10 or 8 and sticking with 7 your wrong. As microsoft has been pushing updates through 7 to do exactly what 10 does.

I think it's only fair. Why should the rest of the Internet be able to spy on you and use your user data and the company supplying the most wide spread operating system is left out?

I just hope you are really as concerned about your privacy as you should be and stop using all your Android and Apple devices as well. But the OP was probably made from Google Chrome or your Android phone, so it's hard to take it seriously.

PS: More than half of those "issues" you've listed are easily fixed within your Windows 10 settings. If you don't take a few minutes to set up your PC correctly you really only have yourself to blame

Why are you bothering to drum up support from the drags of internet society (P1999 players) to fuel your agenda?

I guess our forum populace is slightly more advanced than those who post on 4chan*, maybe**?

LOL buddy im very very concerned about privacy and alot more things than just privacy.. the matrix goes deeper than you think on so many levels LOL including spiritual and I dont have time to explain the last 5 years worth of learning to you. I dont use google chrome as chrome has a feature that can record from your microphone (look it up). Also I dont use a smart phone, I have a cheap non smartphone thats from years ago and ive since quit using that. I also barely use email and when I do its from an encrypted email company. Are you a government paid shill? Also NONE of it is fair to any human being when it comes to FREEDOMS AS A HUMAN BEING. WE have rights. Wake up the matrix has you...

EDIT**** You mentioned this:

"PS: More than half of those "issues" you've listed are easily fixed within your Windows 10 settings. If you don't take a few minutes to set up your PC correctly you really only have yourself to blame"

And I have an answer for that, look up articles from a few months ago to recently online were peoples settings have been REVERTED BACK TO DEFAULT after they adjusted those settings to try and protect there privacy. Windows 10 is the complete spy OS package. Microsoft can remotely control your machine anyway they want and theres nothing you can do about it as a user of there products. They can revert all the changes youve made, they can and they do.

Assange met with Google President and chief executive at the Ecuadorian embassy in Britain.

He wrote a good piece on the naivete of the American public to believe that these corporations are not fully in league with the government that supports them. He said Google's president told him to his face in no uncertain terms that Google serves American interests first as an American company, and wouldn't do it any other way. The piece was called "Google are not what they seem" wish I had a link offhand as it went into a lot of detail on the meeting. Assange said he felt like he was talking directly to the US State Dept at times during the meeting.

That said. I don't upgrade unless forced. I ran Windows XP up until 2-3 years ago where I switched to 7, I run 7 and haven't done a single optional upgrade. Only losers and creeps bought windows 10.

I still get a large pop-up demanding me to upgrade with forceful language, WITH NO OPTION TO PERMANENTLY DECLINE. This is scummy and shame on micropenis and bill gates.

Are you solicited to upgrade to Windows 10 even on XP? If so, that is disgusting.

Just wondering if ALL windows users are subject to the spam that apparently is impossible to decline.

I would have loved to stay on XP.

The 7 upgrade for me was due to an untimely set of circumstances where I had a hardware failure and couldn't be bothered to unpack the HD, diagnose, and salvage the system so I threw it in a closet where it takes up space for several years now to this day.

Microsoft isn't going away anytime soon. The majority of all business and home platforms run on one of their OS. You'll need to do more than call for boycotts from the backwoods of a micro-gaming culture to be effective against Microsoft.

you can disable this (http://superuser.com/questions/922068/how-to-disable-the-get-windows-10-icon-shown-in-the-notification-area-tray).

By the way, when the notification started coming up for me, the executable would crash everytime it launched, and constantly try to relaunch when you told windows to give up. So I had a "this program is shitting itself" error sitting on my desktop until I got around to disabling this absurd advertisement stuffed into my paid (well, theoretically paid heh heh) product. Praise micropeen.

You guys are going to have to upgrade eventually, unless you just want to continue playing P99 only.

Software doesn't support old OS' forever.

Plan is to finally grow the fuck up and use a Linux based OS for personal use once Windows 7 is too obsolete to play games on. I'll keep a separate Windows 10 (or whatever) shitbox for work activities and padding my NSA Trust Index by reading articles on CBS.com.

7 should be good for a while. But with Microsoft assuring hardware and software developers that the 10 update has been "very successful" now with supporting spyware numbers that indicate 7 users should be marginalized, it won't last as long as Windows XP did for the latest and greatest games.

They weren't doing full blown spyware that guzzles bandwidth during the XP era.

By the time windows 7 is obsolete in a few years, there will no doubt be a wealth of information on how to disable all the shady shit included in windows 10.

Indeed. "nano-bugging" is already here for audio, unsure of the video capabilities but it can't be too far behind. These nano bugs can be swallowed inadvertently and are a serious hazard, and will require serious regulations.

Cameras in paint that no doubt will be utilizing the already existing facial recognition software to trigger advertisements based on a 7-day collection of pedestrian foot traffic, matching your face to your identity, and then running a calculation of total # of people interested in X Y Z based on the BIG DATA file they have stored on EVERYONE.

And serving them the billboard/screen advertisement that suits that region of people best.

Just one of the many ways sheep will be given suggestive thinking and the future of targeted advertising in the big cities.
