Hey, how bout that Angela "the Traitor" Merkel for Person of the Year, right? Very well deserved. At least TIME recognizes that the ramifications of Merkel's betrayal of all of Europe, to be witnessed next year and in the dim firelit hell of the years after, make it the "event of the year" and even more important than the single-party system of the US being completely upset by a single wealthy man-with-a-plan.
