Wizard damage

Been searching for YouTube videos showcasing wizard play. But outside of some Pvp or low level stuff it's kinda slim. Thinking of trying one. But other than quading how is the root nuke experience. Will I oom every fight? Or is it not as bad as that?

Root nuking is safe and easy exp, but it is very slow going. If at all possible, I would suggest quadding from level 8 on up. The low level quad spells cast pretty fast so you dont need snare. You'll definitely need sow pots or jboots or to hang out in a zone with a bunch of druids, though.

Root nuking becomes way more efficient if you have the means to grab a Solists Icy Wand. Mana free nuke will change your life at low levels.

Yeah my main is only level 17. About 250pp budget.

You'll need to work up your base mana pool as much as you can to make it viable, and yes it can be a long wait between kites to get mana back, but if you're the semi afk type it can be fun.

If you want to be more active and have less downtime as a caster, combined with the low budget...you'd love a necro (can level it naked without too many issues).

I think a lot of semi-afkers make friends with games like Hearthstone or such things.

Wizards might be the most efficient levelers in terms of time actually playing. Med afk for 10 mins, gather quad and kill in 1 min, afk for 10 etc.

Find good spots near portals to exp so you can bind where enchanters frequent, or bind at camp and gate to nro fire ec tunnel c2.

You want a few things-
A good mana pool like Swish said
Jboots or sow pots (or gate to tunnel and get sow with c2)
Flux staff (for pulling)

Staff of the wheel is a great quest item,should be lots of decent gear for sale for reasonably cheap. If you want ideas for cash camp at 17 pm me

Also i was never a fan of that wand...get a staff of the scorned instead and some hp rings and bash stuff

I will try to get a staff of the scorned. I was thinking of leveling on Bard diet till 20 or 30 then focusing on quading.

What level? below level 10, no scorned is better. Between 11-20 I think scorned still better. But once you get to 16 you should def be quadding anyway, prob stop melee at 12 or even lvl 8.

Does anyone have a staff of the scorned for sale? Been looking for days.

I've wondered for awhile if a quading group in Overthere could sustain a higher pull rate than a normal trinity group there. The puller wouldn't have to snare, just round up 6-8 mobs and let one of the wizards Bonds everything.

My guess is mob run speed would hold the group back more than anything. Only pulling normal run speed mobs(you know, the ones that a--hole bards have a tendency to monopolize there) would probably make it take too long to assemble a pull.
