Department of Fun is now recruiting!
Note: This is a general recruitment thread, not for any specific event.

We are a conglomerate of players from different walks of life whose uniting interest is putting on player-run events for the benefit of the P99 community. We have no guild tag so anyone can apply or volunteer even if they're in a guild already. Attendance to every event not required but it would be nice to have a stable core of regulars.

Right now we need more hands on deck so we can run events better and more often. We hope to expand to Red server as well as stage events for Euro-time players in the future, though for now we are setting our sights on US Evening/Primetime due to limited manpower.

DoF is looking for fun-loving volunteers ON BOTH SERVERS to fill the following roles:

- Streamers (for the love of Tunare save our twitch followers from my awful connection)
- People herders/direction-givers
- Organizers
- Server representatives (mainly Red but also Blue as well)
- GMs or Guides who love helping out with events (Llandris! Llandris! Hi. :) )
- People who like having fun and want to attend events (working title: DoF Cheer Squad? Pompoms are MIA but we can work around that)

For those curious, the book here is 50 Shades of Murder, a favorite among Iksar. You can find it in the Kaesora library if you manage to survive the trip down there.

In recentish news, the DoF was present at the Kiting of Sir Lucan D'Lere, where two members of DoF assisted Ceriv Bloodclaw in kiting Sir Lucan and the entire militia house for a good ten minutes all over the newbie yard.

Somewhere on the internet, there is footage of these shenanigans. Later, Snapcaster's naked and broken body was discovered in an undisclosed location in Freeport. Did Sir Lucan's cronies take their revenge? Who knows. All I know is that I'm always looking over my shoulder when I'm in the city for business. You just can't trust these militia types...

I believe our minimum requirement is that you have a pulse, but others might suggest a desire to have fun and participate in or run events on P99 are the actual requirements.

What happens to the stuff I donate?
Newbies get it, mostly. Unless it's better off vendored. Then we're totally selling it for pp to get something better to give to newbies. The items will be part of giveaways or as a prize grab bag for any events we run that happen to have prizes offered. We also just give away stuff at random to needy players sometimes, so one way or another someone is going to get some use out of it.

What's good for the DoF grab bag?
Pretty much anything useful that's also an upgrade to bronze armor/vendor-bought weapons. (Fashionquest is definitely a thing.)

Can I donate platinum?
I hate tunnelquesting (along with basically every other DoF regular), so I prefer getting cool items to platinum because I don't want to sit around watching /auction. That said, we do take pp if you insist.

Can I buy stuff from the DoF grab bag? (Because I'm stuck in (insert crappy armor here))
I may sell things at my discretion at a heavy discount, but otherwise no, you can't buy anything we happen to have. You have to earn it by having fun!

Fashionquest contest is currently ongoing 24/7 in EC tunnel! Submit your fully outfitted guild bank for consideration whenever and let the server silently judge you. Whoever gets the highest number of unsolicited inspects wins!
