<Hokuten> was a ticking time bomb, I only had a few months to go hard and then i had to return to real life to work again. I cant play eq all day every day its just not feasible. This game isnt THAT important to me I actually have goals in life aside from eq. I scrapped <hokuten> for 2 reasons, 1 nihilum disbanded which our mission statement was to kill nihilum and 2 I was just about out of time I had to return to work shortly after nihilum fell.

Albion is great its in closed beta and they made a lot of great changes. I havent played in a few days but I ran into Romme the other day in Albion was pretty cool. A few other from p99 playing there as well. Think the game is being released in a month or so.

Meh, for a fraction of what I spend on hobbies I can buy a gun off the black market or for a fraction of that build an IED. But I'm a law abiding citizen and would never do such thing. We are a lot more vulnerable here in Australia than people realise. Albion is great its in closed beta and they made a lot of great changes. I havent played in a few days but I ran into Romme the other day in Albion was pretty cool. A few other from p99 playing there as well. Think the game is being released in a month or so.

Albion is fucking awful. It's a great concept, but very poorly executed. It promised to be Ultima Online combined with Path of Exile but turned out to be MMO Farmville. 21,175 suicides by firearm in 2013 (the #1 method of suicide and #1 cause of firearms deaths)
8,454 homicide by firearm in 2013
5,782 by handguns
approx 600 accidental deaths by firearm per year

while
223 justifiable homicides (home intruders killed, statistic is inflated by ALL other justifiable homicides so in this scenario it would be much lower) 2013, out of 1,599,047 residential robberies committed the same year.

so, a gun is 94x more likely to be used by its owner to commit suicide than to kill someone in self defense. almost 38x more likely to be used in a homicide. over 2.6x as likely to kill an innocent bystander in a misfire accident.
