Venril Sathir remains

Spawn time is supposed to be 12 & 24 hours after time of death. Was variance added to this NPC?

Information is pretty sparse but from everything I've read and heard from classic players, it is spawned at least once 24 hours after the kill, and meant to drop 2 stones for epics. Did not spawn after 24 hours.

this is a variance server - even Vindi has variance

Vindi drops loot though; VS remains is a quest mob. I've seen many of those without variance.

Some quest mobs had variance though. Enchanter epic mobs, Undead Bard is 18-24 hours, Mini's in Hate always had variance.

There is another upgrade coming in the next Era Patch for VS and VSR that increases the frequency of their spawns. Should be working as intended for this era month.

he was just introduced like a couple weeks ago and it takes players mapping out spawn times and windows to see where his window falls...

He should be spawning immediately after VS's death for 1 month, then changed in the April era to a timer after VS dies. I haven't been in KC in months, but if you waited 24 hours to check, then you likely missed him.

1 month after VSR/Fay Triggers (4-4.5 months after Velious) = VS becomes ~3 day spawn and VSR much faster spawn rate. For a month of VSR, it appears directly after VS dies, so people can leave it if they don't need his other drops (we'll see how that pans out).

We have increased the spawn rate of Venril Sathir and his skeletal remains. Please note that only Rangers and Druids will be able to trigger the spawn for the skeletal remains, and those remains will only be dropping items for those epic quests. Hopefully these changes will dramatically reduce the competition and resentment over this spawn.

To clear up some confusion, we wanted to let everyone know that we have changed the timing of the spawn of the Venril Sathir remains. It no longer appears directly after the death of Venril Sathir. And we also urge you to read the patch message below about the changes to this creature.

I did not wait 24 hours to check.

I tracked him while he was being killed, and tracked right afterwards. No VS remains spawned; 24 hours was what I was told afterwards, so I checked then as well. Nothing. I confirmed it with the guilds that killed it (Europa/Omni/Azure Guard) and they also said that no remains were spawned or killed.

I was also leveling in KC in the interim and saw nothing.

After looking into it I found that VS remains spawned 15 hours after VS' death. I kept tabs on a +/- variance of an 8 hour window mark to see if this followed the 12 & 24 hour spawn in classic, but there was no other spawn.

It would seem that as of now, VS remains spawn within a 24-hour variance after VS' death (that's a pretty big window). With the variance on this server I can't say whether that really counts as classic or not.

He's supposed to spawn within the first 24 hours of VS death, but just once. Next patch will make him more common.
