Velious / Hot leveling zones

Hey all,

Starting up a new character who's in his twenties now. Now that Velious has come out as to what the good spots to level? I'd really like to level up in Velious zones since I haven't had too much experience there, but really I just want the "best" route to 60.

Here's my old route
1-4 East Freeport
4-14 East/West Commonlands
14-20 Oasis
20-40 Mistmoore
40-50 CoM
50-52 KC
52-60 Sebilis

I was shot down for trying to suggest attempting Velious to level in. So what if the XP is slower? There's a new expansion to explore.

Would be nice if someone could post up a level guide "per floor" to ToFS or something, among other fun spots <3

Presumably, "best route" means not-slower XP. Velious isn't really a leveling expansion.

If you need the pugs, it's probably best to stick with your current route unfortunately. There aren't many pugs in velious until you get to Velk's lab.

If you don't mind the slower xp and can solo, ToFS and CC are reasonable places in your mid 30s.

Yeah Velious mobs have a bit higher HP. There's a few nice soloing spots added for quadders but mostly you want to stick to old world/Kunark.

The best route to 60 is the one you have fun doing. If you want to explore, explore.

Going back at 60 to grind areas you skipped for no gains is kind of lame.

there's exploration and joinning groups and just plan trying to get people to join / lfg for hours lol. if it's difficult for me to get a group i want to dodge it. if the exp isnt as good but its new and i can find a group easy im down.

I got into a Seb group at 51/52 on my rogue, who didn't have an epic... people were "disappointed" at the low dps :o

I tanked in Seb as a Ranger at 52. I am not twinked, either. Has your world come crashing down, yet?

To OP: Unfortunately, people on this server don't play for fun, so unless you are a solo class or you run with your own group, getting to experience Velious content while leveling will be a challenge. Your best bet if that is something you want to do is try to find a handful of like-minded individuals who are interested in experiencing new content and try to set up a weekly thing to go explore dungeons you haven't seen. That's one area I messed up; was in too much of a rush so I missed out on a lot of dungeons I've never experienced.

Seb is 52-friendly for monks, rogues and healers.
For other classes it is harder but doable.

Entrance stuff, NG and disco 1 are great xp without much challenge at those levels.

Yep, go in with a guild group etc and you can have a good time...let the min/maxers reject anyone under 55-57 and leave them to it.

Tofs (lots of fun and easy pulls- not as scary as people think)
Droga/lower guk

KC
Howling stones
Velks

Just recruit someone to duo and your group will magically form. If you build it, they will come.
