Solo Wizard?

Is it possible for a wizard to solo from lvl 1? Or are we destined to groups for all our days?

Unfortunately you are destined to solo for a lot of time, since groups are very reluctant to take wizzies. As a new player you probably think that wizard is a great DPS class. Well, it's not. What you are good at is burst DPS, not so much needed for a decent group. Every other caster is better at continuous DPS... thats why you won't get many invites.

That said, later on you can solo pretty well while quadding or doing AE groups. And i heard that wizzies are still needed for raids.

Not unfortunately! Fortunately you don't need to group at all to get to level 55! You don't have to wipe to bad pulls, afk clerics, annoying group members. You can nuke your way up to level 55 just fine.

At low levels ask a random Druid, shaman or ranger for a SoW. You can quad kite once you get your first AE even without snare, so long as you have a SoW to outrun the mobs.

Or you could not die of boredom and just do Chardok for the last 5 levels. Chardok AE won't last much longer so do it now!

So what would be a decent path to follow for a semi twinked Wizzy? Oracle robe, crystal web shield, the 15hp 15mana bracelets.
