I am clean-shaven and don't require corrective lenses, but I also prefer IPA of the Imperial variety. There's a pretty solid beer scene here in Grand Rapids, Michigan and the entire state, really.

i remember the last one i tried was called something like party in your mouth. they said it was extra hoppy. holy shit it was hard to finish lol. i cant even describe the taste. it wasnt bad but it wasnt good.

i dont drink much but when I do it is usually just some Tecate with lime.

Obsidian Stout - Dechutes (6.4%)

Beer, currently my purchases are a light and fresh Kronnenburg Blanc. Summertime is often Corona + Lime, and as it gets colder maybe Guinness or a similar one from Quebec.

But beyond that, I have a soft spot for nice spirits. Ron Zacappa XO for a rum and Makers 46 for my bourbon. Some people have also given good advice on scotches that are similar to the makers 46. Peas the alcoholism of r99.

http://www.theperfectlyhappyman.com/uploads/goose-island-bourbon-county-stout.jpgthat is an excellent stout, one of my favorites too, annoyingly difficult to find over here though!

Someone suggested Lagunitas, i think they make some very nice ales (Brown sugar for instance), but i never enjoyed their stouts for some reason.

If you like the coffee part of the roasted malt taste, then id recommend a semi-danish product, Mikkeller - Beer Geek Breakfast. I think its available in the US too some places. Danish brewer, but he brews his stuff at various other breweries.

It's annoyingly difficult to find anywhere even near the brewery! Central Waters makes a similar product (as well as a brandywine ale) that is much easier to find but is still seasonal. Not quite as good but a more than adequate substitute.
