Is charisma mitigated like intelligence after 200 or is there a benefit to having max charisma?

I think there is a soft cap, meaning that the amount of charisma over 200 is still usefull, but less so than the previous amount.

I find that for higher end charming, every little bit helps.

You will notice it under 200. above 200 is debatable but if you can get it without hurting other stats too much then there is no reason to not get it. HP is extremely important too, don't take it down to nothing for a little more CHA.

People say there are diminishing returns but I feel like they aren't so diminished that maxing it isn't where you want to be at 60. That being said, unless you are high-end raid geared and I mean better than Illusionist's armor, you will need to compromise in different situations. This means carrying multiple pieces of gear for many slots. Even if cha above 200 does nothing for charm, lowering your chance of a critical resist of pacify by any amount is useful in certain scenarios.

And does cha affect necro / druid charms?

I've heard different things and an unsure.

Necro/druid is based on level and magic resist, not cha. Cha effects merchants prices, charms and lulls. Solo or in group, I always throw on my cha gear to max it out unless Im fighting outdoors and a charm break is no problem.

Hellion... off topic - Do you read MBoTF?

Thanks everyone. I guess even if it's slightly beneficial it's probably still a good idea.

Not sure what that is so no.

No worries, it's just your name is similar to one of the characters in the series

I think I met this guy's rogue on red while playing my paladin. Or the name is the same at least.

And does cha affect necro / druid charms?

I've heard different things and an unsure.

How it works (in theory) is that there are three checks on each tick for a charm break for enchanters:

1. Your level vs the mob's level
2. The mob's magic resist
3. Your CHA.

On every tick of a charm it will do a check against each if these, level being the highest impact and CHA being the lowest. As long as one of these three passes the check then the charm holds. If none of them do it breaks.

(Supposedly) other than bards other classes do not get the third check for CHA on charm ticks, so this gives enchanters a slight edge with charm breaks because they get three checks while the other classes only get two.

This is once again, in theory.

I'm really curious, if Verant and/or the P99 developers, put really a different code for the different classes in.

At the end, it's the same and all our assumptions are totally wrong :)

We have confirmation from the devs (long time ago) that Cha will affect Bards/Encs but not Druids/Necros.

I always made sure to have 255 cha for doing sketchy HS and Seb calm/lull while soloing. The gains after 200 for straight up charming seemed trivial albeit without proper testing and only from anecdotal experience. Lorean might have some tests (that some people didnt like) not sure where they are though.
