fill me in!

The RMT back and forth between Checkraise and Mornin made me really curious! Are people feeling like they're not getting their fair share of uncontested pixels? Is the fear of not being geared enough for all the contesting about to go down setting in?

What's been up?!

I don't think Checkraise even plays anymore and was just giving him shit for the fun of it. I may be wrong.

With the server at it's bluest, I doubt that.

should launch discord, remove permadeath, and merge it with red after an unannounced period of time, then do the same with a blue server and blue99, rotate this system

- relieves pop on blue
- gives people the chance to restart without gear / level disadvantage
- new guilds / ambitious people get a shot
- ....

Oh well, I'm dreaming here obviously

The staff originally said they were open to repeating the discord a couple times. Hopefully they stay ambitious and do this. I think the point of the Discord was to test out some theories and have some fun with it, but there isn't anything set in stone as far as long term plans.

HB Has followed the same timeline since release

Played 12 + hours a day during classic, finally gets into fear at 4am after like 5 weeks of trying and gets a bunch of that prenerf armor, advertises on the forum and makes fun of nizzar and nihilum.

Joins nihilum like a week later.

A few months before kunark is released he says he has logged in for 0 hours, and he is so cool IRL that he isnt playing.

Kunark releases he plays 12 hours a day for months.

Get close to velious release, he says the same shit about not playing

Velious comes out he plays 12 hours a day for a month

Now he is back to advertising he does not play, while he plays EQ2 server 12 hours a day.

That ot hammer tho

Staff apologized for missing their projected release deadline on Discord, kudos to them for that, it seemed sincere. The promise of the Teams server disappeared like a fart in the wind without mention or second thought.

Shame the original release target was 6 weeks from announcement and new bullseye is 8 weeks out, hard keeping the erection going that far out with unpredictable unforeseen circumstances making a delay possible.

Pras the devs and praise the potential for a discord box.

Since people seem interested here's a quick story about my life:

Played poker for a living during law school on FTP, Black Friday happened April 2011. Got bored with nothing to do while wife @ work during day, played lots of EQ, culminating with making Red Dawn.

Graduate, make my own tax resolution company, have kids, work 12 hours a day, little time to play EQ anymore.

Tried to get immersed in Velious but quickly got burnt out by there being no challenge, the intensive raid schedule and pressure to be 100% or close to it with RA. In Nihilum, having 70% RA + meant you were a neckbeard, in Empire, 70% was the equivalent of being inactive status. I've heard/seen the raid schedule has been severely compacted over the last several weeks though to only a few days a week, but I just couldn't get immersed anymore, game wasn't fun.

I play EQ2 for 30-45 minutes a day on avg, and about 0 on weekends. Probably less.

The sad truth is, I have little to no time for video games anymore, and even when I do, I've gotten to the point of life where having people shout at you in TS isn't fun anymore. I enjoy playing Mario Kart on the Wii with my kid more than MMO's now. Actually wait, that doesn't sound sad at all.

I hope this was a very informative autobiography of my life and I encourage you to give it a five star review on Amazon.

The End.

Sadly it doesn't include anything from Kunark so it looks wierd seeing all the 0's that burned out before Velious.
