Pretty awesome show about viking invasion except from English side instead of Viking side like the show Vikings. Show is about Vikings though.

I can watch it on Comcast on demand without commercials.
It's pretty cool, as far as historical, they use names, places, people that are real. Of course they make up a lot of the stuff so its a good show to watch, but major battles and stuff seem mildly accurate.

Hulu just added a no commercial tier too, for like $4 more a month. I subscribed for a month and watched what I wanted (like 2 shows) then canceled.

This man has the right of it. The Last Kingdom is decent, (we all love vikings), but Peaky Blinders is television at its finest, best show I have seen in ages hands down.
You all owe it to yourselves to watch it.

Ive been watching Fargo. Holy shit its really good. First episode is basically a movie. Its got all the good shit from the movie too, just from like different angles. Its way better than I was expecting.
Its red as fuck too so yawl should like it v much

Never really considered Hulu because it seems weird that you'd get commercials while paying a sub. But I'll have to reconsider now and see if there's anything exclusive I want to see.

I watched the first few episodes and it just didn't grab me. Same thing for Dexter, although I went back and forced my way through season 1 and have been enjoying it since - maybe that type of deal?

Paying to watch commercials? Sounds like cable / dish. Gave that up years ago.

im about to start season 2 of fargo, everyone else Ive met says its better than the first! So im glad you just lowered my expectations a bit so I can properly enjoy it.

It's not bad but it's not great like the first season. Kinda like true detective. Black sails season 2 is amazing

But... why did they have to make him gay. I just don't get it. Every show now has to have a gay person in it, even when it doesn't fit or isn't necessary to the story.

I don't think he is text book gay. I think it was a thing where this dude he admired had such a powerful personality he basically let the dude fuck him.

Normally I would agree and it did feel a bit weird. I think it really did help build his character and explain his motives though.

It didn't ruin the show or anything but it just seems like every show I start watching has to throw in the token gay character for no reason.
I think the bottom line is the show wasn't really advanced by it, and it would have been plenty to just present them as close friends and a mentor/student relationship. There really was no reason to make it sexual, if anything it sort of detracts from how enamored he was with the dudes ideas and presence.
That being said, the show is really really good and you get plenty of beautiful titties to offset the gayness. Season 3 looks epic as fuck with Blackbeard entering the picture.
