If you like white people jokes Dave Chappelle is great, literally he could just shout "WHITE PEOPLE" and the audience would bust out laughing.

If you're into podcasts I'd recommend Adam Carolla, dude cracks me up. Or Radiolab though its not funny.

Hes basicaly like every forum nerd but with a much more charming personality heh

I jus tlistened to dave chapelles special on HBO From like 14 years ago and it is still as relevent today as it was then.

Side note, who remembers little elian gonzalez? I sure didn't, until he mentioned him in the set heh

Dave Chapelle's Killing Them Softly is one of my favorites of all time and im definitely bringing that one even though we've seen it

Also Daniel Tosh because we haven't seen it and supposedly it's good.

I'll check out Bill Burr, I've seen some of his stuff but not much. What would you say is his best special/show?

Dennis Leary No Cure for Cancer even though it's stolen and Leary is a douche.

We like Bill Maher I'll probably bring one of his specials. The rest in this thread so far I've either seen or already have. Good political stuff is a plus

first of all, you're gonna love em!

second of all, i find that usualy the most recent specials are the best! His latest is on netflix iirc?

He's done four hour-long stand-up specials: “Why Do I Do This”, “Let It Go”, “You People Are All The Same” and “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way.”

any of those is gonna be gold jerry GOLD

On this subject, can anyone recommend any good women comedians that don't spend 80% of their set reminding everyone that they have a vagina? All the women I've seen just make jokes about men/women, gender issues, etc. Anyone know of any good ones that don't constantly fall back on their gender for easy material?

1. Richard Pryor
1. Carlin
3. Dave Chappelle

I also like / recommend Katt Williams and Daniel Tosh, but those are definitely not going to be liked by everyone. I'm pretty sure you'd like Tosh.

obviously george carlin is the best but yes for current stuff tosh is pretty funny. Some of his jokes can be really crude but tosh is really good at making you feel uncomfortable and then making you laugh about it.

Ended up going with:

Bill Burr - You People are all the Same

Bill Maher - Victory Begins at Home

Daniel Tosh - Happy Thoughts

Dave Chapelle - Killing Them Softly

Dennis Leary - No Cure for Cancer

Richard Pryor - Live on the Sunset Strip

Louis C.K - Chewed Up

Thoroughly enjoyable. Dave Chapelle ended up being the favorite even though we'd seen it before. Didn't get to Leary or Bill Burr

Anything by LCK. Or if you want classic, look up any old Jack Benny.

But Richard Pryor will ALWAY be the best imo...

"George Carlin was great right up to the end of his life. But Richard Pryor was probably the best, most gifted stand-up comedian who will ever live."
Denis Leary
