Lol....Well theres an everquest facebook page....im pretty sure theres a bernie sanders one. But hey, since it cant be a source, im officially declaring anything and everything one the bernie sanders facebook page Illegitimate. The name bernie sanders and all pictures and words assosciated with the page are to declared as lies and anyone, including bernie sanders, that says otherwise is a liar. Courtesy of iruinedyourday, the fool who says the damndest things just because someone disagrees with him.
Hmph, commies these days.
What you and all the other blubbering, perennially ass-blasted republicans don't realize when you throw tantrums like the children in that video is that you don't even have enough candy to be worth taking.
In order for this stupid analogy to be accurate, it'd have to play out like this:
The adults have 10,000 pieces of candy. You're working your ass off to go trick or treating and at the end of the night you have 100 pieces of candy. Some other kid was lazy and retarded and only ended up with 60 pieces of candy.
The government comes along and takes 20 pieces of candy from everyone. The adults now have 9,980, you have 80, and the lazy kid now has 40.
The government's 60 pieces of candy are distributed as follows: 40 pieces are given back to the adults because Ayn Rand said whoever has the most candy carries the rest of society on their shoulders, creates jobs, and the prosperity trickles down because now they're going to give more candy to trick or treaters.
The other 20 are given to the lazy kid to keep him from egging their houses.
The adults now have 10,010 pieces of candy, you have 80, and the lazy kid has 60.
You start screaming and crying and making forum posts because the lazy kid got some of your candy. Meanwhile, the adults move their candy to an offshore account in the Caiman Islands and give trick or treaters the exact same amount of candy as they did before. In your world, you're a superstar because you worked so hard and got so much candy. Your meager analytical ability can't even comprehend the fact that the adults don't even have to work to get their candy, and that when people say inequality needs to be addressed, you're actually fucking stupid enough to believe they mean you.

Starting to think you're more deranged than iruinedyourday, or at least are misunderstanding my intentions, But at least smarter.
If i created my political opinions based on myself, what kind of douchebag would that make me? Well, id probably agree with iruinedyourday a lot more, because i sure do wanna put people in camps and have an interest in playing dictator. However, No power should ever be put in the hands of a man, but in the hands of a people. Inequality is hardly an issue. Does it bug me that desk humpers make 10x what i do? sure, but i couldnt give two shits because even though i prefer physical work i enjoy what i do.
The world would be a better place if everyone would just chill the hell out and Do as you do. But, under a socialist world, its Do as i do. Conformity to an extreme, Which only breeds hate and anger.
The fact is, Democratic Socialism is stealing.

Let's make this a more accurate parallel.
There's actually trillions of pieces of candy. The top 1% of all candy-owners, who each have millions and billions of pieces of candy, possess as much candy as the bottom 90% of candy-owners.
Every day these candy billionaires spend enormous sums of candy in paying manipulative people to lobby law makers to make the laws even more favorable to their candy cause so that they can collect their next billion candy pieces more easily. There is a lot of candy - enough for everyone to be safe and secure from candy hunger - and despite the fact that these people already have billions of pieces of candy, they just can't seem to get enough.
Meanwhile, the people at the bottom can't get enough candy to get by. The manipulative people that lobby law makers and public opinion are quite effective because the majority of people are stupid. They've convinced a bunch of morons to believe something that is actually untrue and counter to their self-interest - that free candy trade is their salvation. Legislation is passed and jobs are cut because the billionaire industry owners can pay someone in another country a few less pieces of candy to work for them. This job vacuum creates desperation and allows the candy billionaire owners to present their workers with even shittier candy compensation because they know that out there is someone worse off who would probably do their job for less candy. "Nevermind paying people an honest candy living," says the candy billionaires, "we've tanked the candy economy so badly and created such candy desperation that we'll never have to worry about people having the self-respect to say 'no' to us again."
In their defesense, the candy billionaires say, "hey we create the opportunity for people to earn more candy, and despite the fact that we are literally hoarding billions of pieces of candy, those pieces of candy will trickle down through the candy economy and bolster everyone." But they actually don't. In fact, many of these candy billionaires go to such great lengths to hang onto every last piece of candy that they hide their candy pieces on remote tropical islands so they don't have to contribute their fair share of candy to the system. That's right - when everyone is asked to give up some of their candy so that we can have candy roads and candy parks and candy schools and candy health care - something every person should have - the candy billionaires hide a good portion of their candy so that they can lie about how much candy they have and contribute less candy than what they are supposed to contribute.
The candy billionaires were so successful in lobbying for the elimination of candy trading regulations that they were able to create a candy lending bubble - so that they could collect even more candy pieces in the short term - that nearly destroyed the nation's candy economy. Not a single one of these financial candy terrorists ever went to jail. Now, despite their blunder, they control even more candy than when they first fucked everything up.
This time they won't screw us over, I promise.

Here you go: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/09/01/1326246/-Adding-up-the-billions-wasted-by-the-House-Republicans
From October 1 through 16, 2013, the Federal Government entered a shutdown and curtailed most routine operations after the Republican led Congress failed to enact legislation appropriating funds for fiscal year 2014. During the shutdown, approximately 800,000 federal employees were indefinitely furloughed and another 1.3 million were required to report to work without known payment dates.
The financial services company Standard & Poors estimated that the shutdown, which lasted just over two weeks, cost $1.5 billion per day, took a total of $24 billion out of the U.S. economy, and shaved 0.6% off fourth-quarter GDP growth.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the economic cost:
About $3.1 billion in lost government services, according to the research firm IHS.
$152 million per day in lost travel spending, according to the U.S. Travel Association.
$76 million per day lost because of National Parks being shut down, according to the National Park Service.
$217 million per day in lost federal and contractor wages in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area alone.
Hundreds of thousands of federal workers bore the economic brunt of the shutdown. But small businesses also suffered from frozen government contracts and stalled business loans. Tourism suffered from closed national parks, and military families had to cope without childcare and other services.
TOTAL: $25,000,650,000
Here’s a state-by-state breakdown of the net loss of Federal medicaid expansion funds:
Alabama: -$943,000,000
Alaska: -$229,000,000
Florida: -$5,038,000,000
Georgia: -$2,862,000,000
Idaho: -$297,000,000
Kansas: -$950,000,000
Louisiana: -$1,655,000,000
Maine: -$294,000,000
Mississippi: -$431,000,000
Missouri: -$2,249,000,000
Nebraska: -$738,000,000
North Carolina: -$2,591,000,000
Oklahoma: -$1,264,000,000
South Carolina: -$807,000,000
South Dakota: -$224,000,000
Texas: -$9,217,000,000
Utah: -$719,000,000
Virginia: -$2,839,000,000
Wisconsin: -$1,848,000,000
Wyoming: -$166,000,000
This totals more than 30 billion in rejected funds.
Republicans have squandered money on hubristic, base-rousing engagements and re-investigations, and forfeited money available for a wholly legitimate and beneficial expansion of health coverage for low-income families. Sadly, it’s not them who are left counting the costs.
I mean lets be honest, straight up, The republican party doesnt think "economicially" it functions to destroy our goverment, and uses religious zelotry to rally voters. Its a bastardization of what the part once was.
I mean hell who is the leading candidiate for 2016? Ben Carson? Trump?

Republicans have squandered money on hubristic, base-rousing engagements and re-investigations, and forfeited money available for a wholly legitimate and beneficial expansion of health coverage for low-income families. Sadly, it’s not them who are left counting the costs.
I mean lets be honest, straight up, The republican party doesnt think "economicially" it functions to destroy our goverment, and uses religious zelotry to rally voters. Its a bastardization of what the part once was.
I mean hell who is the leading candidiate for 2016? Ben Carson? Trump?
Do you really need another republican failure in the white house to teach you that the same broken things DONT make a right?
When is enough enough?
You really think that all those policies have been given to us by the Republicans alone? I recall congress being controlled by Democrats for many years with a Democratic president who signed all these laws. That fact probably doesn't make a difference to you though, or does it?

Often when they say "close loopholes", they mean remove deductions that people making as little at $40k a year are likely to take. Republicans do this too. And if anyone says they're for balanced budgets, but don't specify what government spending they're willing to cut, then they're talking out of their ass. There's no way we could tax enough to cover current levels of spending.

Is this a serious question? Assuming it is, I'll treat this like explaining it to a child, because I can't picture a grown adult asking something so obvious.
Every time the government spends more money than it collects in taxes for the year, it has to borrow money from someone to make up the difference. When you borrow money from someone, they charge you a fee for the time that you have the money. We call this fee "interest". Currently the US government spends over $200B a year on interest. That's $200B we don't have for other things like roads, health care, education, and bombing brown people. And that's a lot of money Timmy!

Paying $200B a year in interest isn't enough of an explanation for why running neverending deficits is a bad plan? I don't understand what you're missing here.
Let's put it in personal finance terms. Would you go out and throw $100k worth of vacations on a credit card, and then just pay $20k in interest per year in perpetuity without ever paying off the debt? It's all about standard of living. Sure your standard of living was great during the $100k hookers and blow cruise through the Caribbean, but your standard of living is reduced until you pay off the debt.
Because of the profligate spending of previous generations, we're now having to waste $200B a year on interest rather than using it for useful things like roads, schools, and medical care. And this is during a time of historically low interest rates. The interest payments are only going to get more onerous as interest rates rise.

If you want to invalidate an analogy, you'll need to actually point out how the analogy fails, and not just claim it fails and call it a day. Or are you on the intellectual level of iruinedyourday, who doesn't even warrant responses to his inane posts?
I'll go slow and ask you - if revenue grows faster than debt, does the debt even matter?
It all depends on whether incurring that debt is what led to the revenue growth. I'll use another analogy, which you'll probably just dismiss because it doesn't conform to your preconceived views, since the incurious mind hates incorporating new information.
If you borrow $50k to go to college and end up making an additional $20k a year as a result of your education, then you probably made a wise move (depending on interest rate). Your standard of living was improved through your borrowing/investment.
If you borrow $50k to go on a wild vacation and you get a $20k raise anyway, completely unrelated to the money you spent, then the debt and ensuing interest was not a good move. Your future standard of living is reduced due to your spending. It doesn't matter that your revenue grew faster than debt and are more able to pay off the debt than you were before you got the raise. It is unequivocal that your standard of living is now reduced. Maybe if you get enough raises the interest payment becomes inconsequential, but that is the hardly the case for the US debt.
And to drive a nail in the coffin, we're not growing revenue faster than debt. GDP growth has been anemic for the entire "recovery", while debt has continued its rocket-like trajectory. You can compare either debt-to-GDP or debt-to-revenue and it has exploded over the past 3 decades, under republicans and democrats alike. It started during the Reagan years and has continued unabated since (except for a period during the 90s boom). And it has really kicked into high gear over the last decade. You can blame that on the republicans, or the democrats, it doesn't much matter to me. But do you really think all that debt we have incurred has been for the better and was wisely invested for future growth? Are we going to start getting some dividend payments for the trillions we spent fighting brown people in the desert?

Funny, GDP has grown just fine every year in the last ten, except for the 2008/2009 crash when it shrunk slightly.
Maybe revenue is the issue and Bernie has the right goddamn idea - if we raise taxes, we won't have to borrow all that money you're so worried about paying interest on?

Learn what an analogy is. It doesn't mean two things are identical in every aspect, but it is a way of comparing similar aspects of two or more things. The ability to correctly apply and interpret analogies is one of the hallmarks of intelligence.
Funny, GDP has grown just fine every year in the last ten, except for the 2008/2009 crash when it shrunk slightly.
GDP growth has been anemic for a recovery. After the giant dip we had in 2008/2009, it was expected a recovery would look like 4-5% for a couple years at least (previous recoveries were even stronger, with 4%+ for multiple years). The best year we've had since then is 2010 with 2.5% growth, and the average is under 2%. And even if you consider that "just fine" (pretty much no economist agrees with you), it still hasn't grown nearly as quickly as debt, which has nearly doubled in the same time that GDP has increased 20%. That's not sustainable, and I think you know this.
Maybe revenue is the issue and Bernie has the right goddamn idea - if we raise taxes, we won't have to borrow all that money you're so worried about paying interest on?
Isn't that the most elegant solution - increase government revenue so we won't have to 'waste money' on those pesky loans you're so frightened of?
And now you're deflecting from the original point. Remember that this was a discussion over whether we should have balanced budgets, and not an argument over how to achieve that goal. How about the government stop spending so much and taxing people to death. More taxes and bigger government are not the solution to already high taxes and out of control government spending.

Spending beyond their means doesn't apply to nations in the world of global finance. Grow faster than your debt payments and it's a non-issue.

We aren't growing faster than our debt payments, we are PRINTING faster. So far we haven't seen the logical inflationary results because the real world is still in a massive deflationary recession. Eventually the central banks will fuck up and interest rates will go from 0% to 50%+ virtually overnight as people suddenly refuse to take dollars/euros/yen/yuan/other fiat junk. And that is when the shit will REALLY hit the fan.

As outrageous as the post may be, putting the brakes on corporate controlled government is both a left and right interest. Sadly capitalism does indeed lead to shit being sold in a pill bottle, substandard toxic food made with mass-production industrial grade pesticide, among other serious humanitarian concerns. Any candidate that campaigns on at least pushing back on special interests, even if futile, should get the vote. The Monsanto Act is a form of pseudo treason almost, since we the people didn't believe it made any sense at all. Nor did any politician that wasn't in the pocket.
The problem is if you rock the boat too much, you get a bullet through your head closed casket, in broad daylight hence why we haven't see a true progressive candidate since 1960. The special interest racket might just be too deeply entrenched in our system to do anything about and maybe its not realistic to vote for a Bernie Sanders, but someone who can just do the job and at least maintain the status quo. Realistically speaking I think its a done deal at this point I do believe we lost a part of democracy when the murder of the highest elected office in the nation went unsolved via lack of investigation.
Its nice to pretend otherwise though.
Believe me, if a corporation was allowed to make food out of shit, and call it healthy, it would.

they're a company who if anyone was asked 10 years ago, whats the most conscientious corporation out there? they'd probably say VW.. and of course it turns out they've been lying through their teeth about every one of their products..
I feel compelled to point out that Volkswagen was founded by Hitler.

I saw that coming a mile away when I was picking off the top of my head a company painted to look like the good guy.
But lets be honest, that doesnt mean anything about the companies philosopies.
Unless maybe you think in the board room of VW is this guy,

Implying it's any better with other candidates.
Bernie wants to import 3rd worlders as a matter of principle.
Hillary, and whatever Republican clown they go with, want to import them for economic reasons, mainly because the people paying them off stand to benefit from cheap labor / depressed wages.
How is it a matter of principle to import 3rd world workers who will compete for jobs with America's poor?

rofl we dont live in a world where we need to wall off people from the american dream because we have so many ignorant fucks voting republican that cant find work.
SORRY

You're misinterpreting. This isn't something I agree with at all, I was simply saying:
The impetus for Bernie's retardation on this matter is his principles.
The motivation for the other candidates is bribery.
The word principle doesn't have a positive connotation. Hating Jews was one of Hitler's principles.

You're wasting your time. Pokesan and iruinedyourday are notorious for asking for proof, then once proof arrives, they put their fingers in their ears and yell "la la la la i can't hear you" and then claim victory. Would you take the time to attempt a rational debate with a chimpanzee?

Eurostat suggests 20% of all asylum seekers were from Syria in 2014, not 7% (I would expect this number to rise in 2015, but still be far from a majority). http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php/Asylum_statistics
Regardless of their composition, it's hard to see this ending well. Europeans will not be enthusiastic to live under Sharia law, and Muslims will not be happy with European multiculturalism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMKqKruzZro
