Dark Souls 3 Beta Test - PS4

Apparently the network stress beta test has been announced for North America and Japan, and will be taking place October 16th through the 18th for chosen applicants via download on the PS4.

Did anyone receive a code to enter the beta that they'd be willing to pass along? I'm incredibly excited for this game and would love a preemptive chance at playing it. Sadly I did not get selected myself.

WTF - I didn't even know they were developing Dark Souls 3 - I kind of love it when sh!t like this happens because I don't have to wait for 5 years for release.

Haha yeah I hear you there. Fortunately it's planned for an early 2016 release. Hopefully Bloodbornes DLC comes out in the meantime to keep me occupied til then :)

Do you happen to know if this is PS3 as well? I know DS3 game release is available for both consoles, I am just wondering if beta is for both too.

Pretty sure that I read it would be on PS4 only. It's a network stress test so I don't think they needed multiple consoles for it.

In any case you can't get a code for the beta any more, you had to sign up before they picked participants.

Ya. I just saw that last night. Thanks for getting back to me.

Dark Souls 2 I got a message on my PS3 giving me a code. That was cool. At the time I owned Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, so I thought they just knew or something.

Here's an official gameplay trailer. It looks like they took dark souls 2 and refined it, I'm definitely stoked to play now. Its a little painful to watch though, the guy playing is really bad haha.
