Haven't been on my enchanter for a few months. A couple of nights ago, I decided to level him up. Went to SK and charmed a rook to fight another. When I try to break charm with Taper Enchantment, it no longer works. I casted on it like 5 times. Tried again later on another rook and same thing.
Does Taper Enchantment can no break charm any more?
Haynar redid the dispell mechanics last year to make it where buffs/debuffs have counters. This post collects a couple of explanations of the changes and how the counter vs. dispell system works now.

Taper Enchantment was completely OP in its prior form. A 5 mana guaranteed one slot dispell was insane and had a huge impact on the enchanter BotB.
You will have to cast it up to 8 or 9 times to dispell, where as you used a high level dispell effect it may take just 1 or 2 casts.
Use hide/invis/goblin gazughi ring if you want to break invis on the cheap.

Thanks for the info.
Been camping the gobby ring on my monk for more than 20 hours over a few sessions without any luck. I am sick of seeing those Moonstone and Goblin Catcher rings. lol.
