EverQuest has detected that your client may have crashed.

When it happens the load screen pops up for split second, then it goes black where it otherwise should show the characters on the account I just camped out on.

Just got a new computer about 2 weeks ago, my old one would never have this issue.

Whats best way to go about trouble shooting this? Ive looked up other threads, doesn't seem to be a similar issue. 1k Red plat [assuming im allowed to] to anyone who fixes!

It's not a windows 10 problem.

It did this all the time on windows 8.1

I've noticed when I camp it crashes more than when I /quit

This is how you fix the crashes.

1.) Right click on eqgame.exe, click properties, then click on Compatibility tab, choose "Windows 95/98/ME"

2.) Edit LaunchTitanium.bat file to say this "cmd.exe /C Start /affinity 1 eqgame.exe patchme" without the quotes.

The above command specifies to run the game bound to processor 1 (single CPU).
The reason this works is because when this game was created CPUs were still single core, not dual/quad/octa core as they are today. Also you choose Windows 95/98/ME in compatibility because that OS only supported single CPU configuration.

Let me know how it works for you.

Here is the Microsoft MSDN information on /start affinity for those interested:

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/santhoshonline/archive/2011/11/24/how-to-launch-a-process-with-cpu-affinity-set.aspx

Technically you could bind your process for EQ to a different processor based on the chart listed in this link.

This did not fix it for me.

run EQ as admin + match the resolution in your eqclient.ini file (in ur eq folder) to the native resolution of your monitor.

Are you changing characters? Sometimes I experience this when swapping between toons.
