This was mentioned in the DN lag bug post caused by stuff not despawning, but this only partially related:
Swarming beetles hit too hard and have too much health. The amount people say they hit for varies, but max hit is definitely sub-100, and HP looks like it should be at about 2k.

These little things appear as the result of traps. Usually you get 6 to 10 of them at once.
With about 2000 hp each, they hit for 30 to 60.
These things are level 50. yet only hit for 50-80
and have 2,000 HP dear god.. sounds about twice as easy to squash one of these as it is to take down your average everyday hill giant. lest of course they hit rather fast. Either way I'm wondering something. Say you take one group of high levs in to kill, and one group of mid 30s in to kill one or two of the extras *if they could survive the trip in*. the xp from killing a lvl 50 mob is rather substantial at those levels. I mean think about it. Killing one trap full gives a full group of 55-60 visible change. what would they do for low levs LOL.

There are two main kinds of traps to worry about topside. The first is if you spawn a dragon construct. This is a large, approximately level 55 UNDEAD dragon. He is susceptible to undead spells. They are tough but doable with one 55ish group but I am unsure about a 48 to 52 group.
The second type of trap are the swarming beetles. Each of these is like a little hill giant. They hit for 60 to 90 and have around 2k HP each. The easiest way to deal with these is an enchanter AoE stuns and then a mage or wizard AoE kills them. Mages can usually kill an entire trap if they can successfully get off 4 total AoEs. These beetles will swarm though so without AoE stun, whoever gets swarmed is dead.
