Who is your favorite NPC and why?

Deputy Tagil might be my favorite NPC in the game.

He was part of my very first quest, "Deputy tagil's debt", during which I learned the nature of the game and what made it great. In this quest Tagil had stepped on someone's vegies and forgot to pay for the damage he had caused. Despite being a seasoned guardian of the shire, he was still a clumsy old dude.

Through this encounter NPC's were no longer just robots. This was not just guard01, but rather a clumsy forgetful deputy, whose mission in life was to save your ass.

In addition to that, he was the first NPC to display the power of a high level to me. When he saved me from a fire beetle, with one thrust of his spear I knew I'd seen greatness.

Every time I am running to Rivervale to plug from someone, I definitely give him a quick mental salute. And each time he grins back at me, for he knows he is forever in my heart.

I love the spore king. Just hanging out among his kin, trying to live a good life. But he can't, because everyone's after the secrets of his regenerative properties. What a curse!

Back on rallos gnomes could med with their backs against the wall and if any other race attacked he would jump right in.

Fippy Darkpaw, if you mean to include a mob. Other than that, it's a tossup between my favorite newbie quest receivers: Chesgard Sydwen for the bandit sashes, Priestess Cauldria for the rabid wolves and bears, and Mrysilla who gets the greater lightstones. I'll go with Mrysilla, because I am partial to that female model.

I too remember many times when this gnome reaked major havoc, he always had a damage shield up so was hard to kill even for high levels, my issue with him is he was kos to alot of gnomes and gnome on gnome violence is wrong!

The Drunkard in Kelethin. He's a high elf male in a full set of leather, i believe he's a paladin. He's about level 4-7 and walks around way back of Kelethin, the part where no one goes. Way up top to the mose useless parts of the city. When you think High Elf, you think of some high-class, clean, prissy magic wielders that would not ever J-Walk, seeing a drunken fool High Elf stumble around town is a very odd sight to see. He stumbles around and if you hail him he has some drunk mumblings...hic! He was the first npc I ever slain, that's why I think he's epic. It was a challenging fight for my young level 5-10 dwarf warrior. To top it all off, sometimes when he dies he'll have some ale or brew on him. A great reward.

My favorite NPC was Jibekn, he was always my most loyal and powerful shaman pet on live. He once slew 2 crushbone orcs with one single bite. Through much meditation I was able to transverse through the mortal world into the mind, body, and spirit of Jibekn and we became one.

Rachnor began his service March 29, 2000 as an apprentice on the Quellious server; He left the program in December of that year only to return in March, 2003 as a servant of the Princess Firiona Vie. Rachnor was a special guide always ready to help, who took on the duties of Events Coordinator with zeal. He put a great deal of effort into conducting fun events for players and guides alike. In real life Rachnor was a proud father who shared his enjoyment of EverQuest with his son, their bond was such that his son also joined the guide program as Rachier. One night as Rachnor was going home, his car was hit by a drunk driver. Rachnor was taken to the hospital unconscious in critical condition, he passed away Sunday May 11th, 2003. Rachnor's passing was a great loss, and he touched everyone who knew him. Please take a moment of silence to remember Rachnor, his family, and his contributions.

It is always sad when people's live's are cut short, especially when they work so hard anonymously with a community they are passionate about.

That being said I wouldn't wish ill towards anyone IRL in this or any community - although I would still punch Colgate in the face (naw not really - not worth the punishment since he is so scrawny I would most likely kill him in one punch : http://www.nsw.gov.au/onepunch).
