Hi all! Long time EQ player but just now starting up with project 1999 after feeling nostalgic. I was able to hop in this afternoon for a few hours. In that time, I received three SOW buffs, a fine steel morning star, a belt with 20 hp, and a jerkin with poison resist. This community rocks and everyone essentially has welcomed me and been very friendly since I began! The guy who gave me all three pieces of gear even said welcome back to Everquest. My clerics name is Stimple and he is a high elf. I will be in game when I can but very much looking forward to coming back! I am on blue too as an FYI. can't wait to see you all in game! Shoot me a tell if you'd like to group!

Welcome back! While I started 2 days ago, I haven't received any money or equipment, but I've received plenty of buffs and advice by people. A very kind community.

Thank you guys! I fully intend to return the favor when I can! After all, who wouldn't want rez's from a friendly neighborhood cleric! So excited to be back after such a long break! Sillyturtle, one thing I have noticed is to purchase backpacks ASAP. It allows you to carry much more loot and loot EVERYTHING! It's how I was able to afford my newbie spells. Only being level 4 I have one more level to go until I get my new line of spells. I am only purchasing spells that really make a difference. Also, make sure to bind your sense heading skill to a directional button. Hopefully by the time you hit level 10 or so it will be maxed out. I forgot how difficult it was to navigate without a map.
