i have around 5k, gear up my chanter or shaman?

I have a 49 chanter and 50 shaman. Both have shit gear, but have about 5k plat saved up between them. Which one should I gear up and stick with to farm more phat lootz?

Probably cheaper to gear / farm with an enc.

Big time soloing as Shaman requires Torpor pretty much and that's a lot more than 5k.

Enchanter. Max cha, go to rathe mts and charm hasten and fear kite hill giants while hasten destroys them with backstab. Can earn 1k an hour and see very little pvp compared to oot.
Bind at gem merchant and transfer plat/gold to gems when you get too heavy. After a couple days you can afford a set of resist gear and probably get a lvl or two.

The only high cost for an enchanter is keeping rune up so you don't get instagibbed. Shamans don't have the same problem, but chanters can farm so much more shit.

Bugs in Seb, anything in kc, some wings in hs and named spiders in velks.

enchanter farms smaller money camps faster than a shaman can

shaman can solo/duo things that enchanters can't

it's a toss up; enchanters probably make more money, unless the shaman is coupled with a melee like a monk

Choose the play style you prefer. Since you are poor now you are probably best off with an enchanter.

Sham. Can melee, can tank (If you practice young for that defense skill . My 39 sham can super tank with slow) , can be a beast. Your poisons are fast cast and scary. No one resists poison or disease. Long term disease is just fun against pure casters.

Lvl9 sow. Cannibalize. Pet. Regen. Slam.

Get yourself a pwc for 1k and Mr HP gear. You can root rot anything.
