Could have been between two lost level 5's lost in Misty thicket. Doesn't even have to be pvp related. A story about making it out of a dungeon when it looked like the outcome was gonna be a very long CR.

My back and forths in Guk with Chewie when I was brand new to this box/pvp are pretty memorable. The fights went on for close to hours, we'd both get so low but the fight would continue. My first pvp encounters.

When I was level 20 in mistmoore a shaman named Belushi blinded me while I was medding - my nukes at the time were not powerful enough, nor was my mana pool deep enough to slay the beastly ogre. 30 levels later I dropped an ice comet on his head and it put the biggest smile on my face. My favorite memories are every time I slay Elric or his alts.

Best single memory is the Fresh vs Holo Faydedar. Was like 24 to 20 or something. Half our squad was in TD when we saw the holo force get on the raft we camped 14 in TD and played possum until we got the next raft with around 8 more. Assembled the stragglers south of chessboard and waited.

2m later /who showed like 8 holo LD so we called the login and charged. Rains were focused in the caster camp and everyone else focused clerics. That was the last time Holo force LNSd from anyone and the only time since was Empire force lnsing the Trak fight with GG.

The best 1v1 memory is me owning vantage inside kc. Got him to 30% like 4 times. Each time he'd go in with faction and bp up. I had no myro or fungi so I ended up plugging but I felt powerful that day.

Small scale: probably <Sharknado>

Large scale: probably that string of months where Nihilum mass PvP'd and consistently lost to Azrael before the Nizzar re-emergence. We kept coming, kept losing, but it was fun. It was kind of live-like in that sense (like how actual "resistance" guilds are supposed to/ did work on live servers). No one quit after 1 or 2 weeks because pixels weren't coming in, and I think what made it fun too was Azrael actually participating/ being invested in it, that is until they lost a couple times and the guild deflated in a matter of days. Good times losing, though. Shit's fun.

large scale, by far. One time we had a massive match vs Nihilum in VP that stretched from the PD lair to the Balcony. So many small fights broke out throughout the zone, was amazing.

The most fun I've had with PvP has been fighting in CoM and the surrounding jungle area. Don't have a specific fight to pick, but I really enjoyed that last year. Low 50's PvP with nobody super geared is when the game is most balanced and that area has a really great mixture of being both contained and open at the same time, with good hiding spots and ability to use height, but not in such a boring way as the superblock at Karnor's Castle.

Aside from that, killing some Azrael guy in Najena (he was playing a Shaman) after a long back-and-forth was exciting. We kept jockeying for positioning in the basement and then eventually I lured him up a level into a dead-end area and killed him as he ran past me and then tried to turn around and escape.

Small scale, killing brobb (played sektors "dad's" warrior) and lite on novus with my damage shields and torpor. Both had tunnel vision and used mighty strikes on me.

- Leveling up in Howling Stones in january with the same crew, Smiffles, Cimarron, Fael and myself. Every night we'd enjoy the easy grinding safe from PvP, but each night after a couple hours we hope'd someone would show up to fight us, and each night Lite would show up on Brennard to 2box Drusella and come fight us. He either fought by himself or with one other person. He'd always kill 1-2 of us and force us to wipe, suicide or port out. The worst beating we took unfortunately was video taped. It was 6 of us in the way back corner of South Wing? or West? I can't remember. But it was the end of the night, and we were in a tiny hallway with literally seven or eight mob'd being carefully CC'd. We were holding it together with charms, roots and mezzes. We easily could of wiped to those mobs alone, but Lite showed up on a rogue with an enchanter. Now two of our people were OOR and useless in the fight, was only 4 of us in range, but we lost 4v2 and had a horrendous CR ahead of us. Fortunately Lite dragged all our bodies to the entrance. Was a pretty cool fight tho, being so fucking deep in HS.


- The first day I adopted the Shadowsneak surname Ragnaros and I ported around looking for people, he was on a 60 druid. We ported to DL and ran to Seb. We zoned into TT and found an AFK Murda near the zoneline, I killed him easy enough. We continued to the Seb bubble and found Rezynn at 30% hp running to the orb, I landed a running backstab and 1 round him to finish him off. Then I zone into Seb and pop Roarie for the 3 kills in 10 minutes. Never felt so powerful

- And then theres a thousand seb moments. I loved dismantling fungi group farms. I use to get the timer for the fungi/ph and camp out until it would spawn. I'd hide in that room up on a rock on a wall, i wait for monk to come in and sneak pull the fungi out, the monk would get a few adds on the pull and have to feign. That's when I pop out and poison/break their FD, and try to beat the monk down with 20 mobs on him. I got Redd once, and some fresh monk, Rikky or something.

Probably that gm event sirken did in BBM. I truly showed how retarded SSBP was that day. Believe I killed Strange, Drakaris' monk, some enchanter, and another SK while being healed by funqwak.

Got ht'd to sub 4% three times, snared below 20% several times and some other interesting shit like knocking myself unconscious via Levi being pulled. Overall the fight took 1 hour before I ended up fighting HPT as he dcd and got raped by a bard sped, casting while moving afk wizard. I laughed pretty hard after that.

Favorite time from Red99 was when Flowers of Happiness had secret bomb shelter aka "The Hole" all to ourselves for a solid month, if not longer. I don't know if the devs forgot to put it in the patch notes, or released it accidentally, but nobody outside of our core group knew it was open. We safely AFK'D for hours on end. We farmed the server first Imbued Granite Spaulders. Just me, Kripi, Ganja, Chewie, Salem. Maybe one or two others. We never had a 2nd pair of IGS drop, but we farmed the hell out of Loam Encrusted and got tons of free flowing exp with no concern for PvP. Those were the days.
Ganja left Flowers shortly after getting all his Loam Encrusted pieces. We were cool with it, as we knew he wanted to poopsock with Nihilum, and he promised to keep the Hole a secret.
Fast forward a couple days. I was invisible and at the zoneline to VP where Nihilum was gathering a raid force. I am out of range to everyone, so I sit there and watch and listen. Sure enough there's Nizzar and (untagged app) Ganjah. They are talking in /say:

Nizzar: (inspects Ganjah) hey where did you get the Loam Encrusted?
Ganjah: (breathing intensifies as he knows this is his chance to please Lord Nizzar) the Hole. It's open.

And that was that. Within 20 minutes Nihilum had a raid force in the Hole. We met them face first and took heavy losses. Salem went out swinging like the boss that he is.

I had a good time in our last 1v1 Lite. I had a landslide of a record against you before we scrapped outside Cab in FoB. You took me the distance and only because I refused to lose did I get the clutch final nuke to finish you but if I got interrupted, Lite would have got me.

Just a typical outdoor druid v bard battle, lots of charming, lots of dispelling, an attrition game that lead to some zone bouncing at Cab to try to survive guard melee while trying to channel the final scoriae I needed to finish Lite off, both of us hanging around 10% life and staying in the battle looking for a finish.

Lite earned some of my respect that day, put up the best fight I'd ever seen out of him and put a ton of effort into getting the finish only to get snaked by me at the last second. If not for RNJesus being on my side, Lite could have got that one.

then after that the guys rep blows up he starts leading guilds and starts getting made fun of for having a big nose while I leave the server. I felt like he must be still on an upward improvement if he accomplished all that after I saw him as a scrub, then saw him as a potential competitor. Kudos to anybody for continuing to relentlessly improve at something they started out with no skills in. so, Kudos to Lite.

besides that probably roflstomping entire groups on Johnny in seb, particularly when Slathar was in the group and he'd suicide into frogs after I got the 2nd or 3rd person down and the obvious outcome was inevitable so rather than take a screenshotted death by my hand he'd always eat the pve death.

trying to get finishes on Smallmee was always tough too, had to really put in work to set him up for a trap any time I got him. one of the very few people I'd say played with the same level of awareness I did as a druid. kudos to Smallmee for being probably the hardest person to actually finish off on this server.

may as well share 2 other little tidbits, basically the dirtiest laundry on me from my time here.

Amelinda banned Oddjob because Zyrin 2boxed him in OOT to give himself buffs. You have no idea how pissed I was at him over this. The enchanter Natural that got banned early on for RMT? I only gave over the logs to Amelinda in exchange for getting Oddjob unbanned. I didn't give a shit about Natural or RMT, I just wanted Oddjob unbanned and my only leverage was the goods I had on Natural(I didn't know I could just bribe Amelinda at the time). Amelinda was easy enough to get to agree to my terms over a back and forth email exchange for a couple days.

I colluded with Heartbrand to get him back in Nihilum. I helped him level and hide Ricardo's identity, helped him slide through the recruitment process, all because I respect his abilities as a player and value surrounding myself with the best over politics. I was ready to do whatever I had to do to get him back in Nihilum because I'd rather have him on my side than as an enemy, and I was recruiting officer so I had the power to abuse to make that happen. I truly don't know if HB intended to bring Nihilum down from the beginning or not.

I don't regret it, if HB was the downfall of Nihilum then that's Nihilum's fault, not HB's. Keep a clean whistle or expect your skeletons to be used against you. I never felt any qualms about talking shit to anyone on this server because I knew there was nothing I ever did that would ever give anyone anything on me to use against me.

Also, as an Officer of Nihilum, I really didn't know who Platlord was or what was up with the guild bank and RMT. I didn't care either... if some funds from the guild bank go towards providing someone the ability to poopsock EQ 24/7 and skillfully lead a guild and raids, I'm fine with that. People have to eat, I'd rather have a guy like Nizzarr at a computer 24/7 doing what he loves than him having to go work a shit pay day job and miss raids. 16 year old game's leaders are hard to come by, there's been maybe 3 on this server since it launched worth a shit. 3 in what, over 1500 unique player log ins since launch? That's called value. Nizzarr provided value.

Oddjob was one of the best players on the server back in a time when people actually PvP'ed, not just hugged zone lines or behind 100 faction mobs. Caster PvP was always my favorite PvP.

Oddjob was one of the best players on the server back in a time when people actually PvP'ed, not just hugged zone lines or behind 100 faction mobs. Caster PvP was always my favorite PvP.

One of my more funny encounters was actually vs one of lite's toons, Brennard.

Cyborella (ranger) and me(on my cleric) were duoing drusella sathir. The NOS had dropped and we had one on both of our characters, its lore and therefore one had to be corpsed.

Cyborella suicided and was ready for a res to loot the NOS, as Brennard attacks me.

I did not want to leave, as there was a NOS on the corpse, so I decided to fight Brennard 1on1.

I popped a DS potion and managed to get it buried under other buffs. Brennard ended up having to run, and he takes a pve death just before my nuke would had finished him.

While I had Brennard on me, I cornercasted a res on Cyborella, who managed to loot the NOS in time.

It was a beautiful day.

for me its the nec botb fight vs whoever was on zozo. defending live belt was fun, rallos nec botb champ + 2nd server wide test copy. The strat I used on live didn't work here because of pet pathing in arena, was at 2% quivering veil bought me 150hp and some time to rethink strat, was pretty fun coming back from that close to death with ppl rooting against u

gotta say, even tho its mass pvp related, was when nilly and azrael were in a standoff in dreadlands. PVP happened, azrael fled into a tunnel, quickly followed by the entirety of nilly. was a slaughterfest and a good ole time :)yes.

Thinking back though, i think launchday was the best fun i ve had on here. Everyone was lvl 1-3 when i logged in, ~100 players in Gfay and tons of small gangs tried to stay alive/kill the other gangs.
I was just gonna try it out for an hour or two since i was bored on blue. Never logged back on there, cept for a few transfers (when it was allowed).

killing some gnolls for their fangs in the hills of qeynos, when out of the mouth of blackburrow comes three players: bard, rogue, wizard. knowing whats up, i high tail it to the guards with these three close behind in my shift-t. the wizard keeps stopping to cast something, i resist one and dont stop.. the rogue so close i can hear her footfalls. over the hill i see the guard tower, when i take a backstab. i do a little sidestep and spin, causing the rogue to keyboard turn... giving me my advantage to strafe run and arrive at the guard hut with over half-health. this is when i turn around and see the gang has not given up pursuit.. they shortly arrive at the hut to see me sitting, medding. i guess the bloodthirst was too much for the rogue, as she runs behind me and stabs me... which results in the guards killing her. i then ask the others if they want the same fate, to which they replied that i would have to leave eventually. so we sit there for 25 minutes until i decide to logout and go back to blue. NEVER AGAIN

3x knights templar kills on rags toons.

alot of people whine and cry about the MM twinks, but imo that shit was fun.. trying to take down a raid mob in MM that doesn't have coded AI. If there's anything that will teach you how to be "red" it's rallying the rags noobs in your group to fight silvers.


also, first week of velly launch

me and some slosh pals farming necks in icewell, some empire zone in a try to take over zone, we push them out. a couple more show up and try again, we push them back again.. finally on their 3rd attack they beat us.

we had the zone and height advantage, sitting up on the walls levi'd above them on the castle etc.. waiting for their next attack. shit was really fun. letsjoe, gyno, HB, morning, and some others. at one point HB was knocked unconscious but got back up on a hp tic and was able to plug.

was a very goog time.

favorite time, tri-guild battle at DL/BW Zoneline, and then the other massive PVP Fights in KC, other than that game is almost not worth playing, but those mass pvp battles will always be a gaming highlight for years to come.
