How important is /hide?

Thinking Wiz or Cleric, and I am wondering if everyone is a DE/Halfling for hide, for safety =P

Hide is cool. Only other one worth mentioning imo is high elf. Theres an outstanding tunare only bracer quest in velious that isnt too hard and they have loads of wisdom.

Bracer is cleric sorry. Tunare wiz has a quest too but i dont recall if its that wonderful.

If you go cleric, go gnome. Can hide in pvp much easier and see through walls.

It comes down to do you want to do the killing or play assist. Cleric will level alot faster and if you join a guild will get epic and geared alot quicker.

Clerics pretty hard to kill and in high demand. You will have guilds tripping over each other to throw an epic at you.

Funny how Wizards are considered amazing on red, and crap on Blue. So much to sort out, but started messing around with some low toons to get a feel and build up some coin / cloth armor reserves =P

dark elf always good for hide, not so much for pvp but there's times where a well timed successful hide during a wipe is as good as camping out.

Snare necklace is a nice trick to have but again for pve really, long cast time and 6 ticks of snare. Good in a ench/cleric duo for fear kiting with a charmed pet.

I finally did and having fun. Level 5 Bard. Haven't had an PVP yet but looking forward to it when it undoubtedly sneaks up on me and snacks me sideways. I'll be crushbone ready soon :) Look for Llewella for levelling / easy target! :)

Have a shaman Im lvlin up with fungi and other twink gear. Only lvl 16 currently. If you want to level up shoot me a pm with ingame name or look for me ingame on Paulus/Qtip. Get a level every 30-40 mind so hit me up and lets level up quick.
