Looking for someone to spam hail a particular NPC in North Qeynos newbie yard for around an hour while I do turn-ins for faction. Willing to donate something like 650pp for your time if anyone has a character in that area, or even wants to make one to help me and then have me give the money to their real character somewhere else, send Zaruuk a tell in game preferably, or PM me on here.

650p for an hour?

Considering this is something a level 1 could do, 650pp/hour is more than fair.

Get up to amiable faction, then do Koalindl fish. It's so much faster.

Or just snare and zone out..... Stays in place for length of snare

If youre trying to raise faction to do the headband quest as an iksar, you can just make a level 1 human and transfer all the items over. all the quest peices are droppable.

you can keep him in place yourself, you can get in 2-3 turnins between hails and you can also hail while turning stuff in.. or use one of the other options suggested above

koalindl fish are the way to go if you're trying to do soulfire, though. handing money to lasun takes forever in comparison.

If you find me in-game I can just ensnare him for you. Won't move for ten minutes.

This is a good tip, I should try it on the Rivervale NPC for the Nillipuss quest, he always runs off halfway thru the turnin!
Would Root work as well?

Snare lasts a lot longer than root.

No, afaik root wears off once you zone/log

I'm pretty sure I've seen root endure after the caster zones. But snare lasts a lot longer, as a previous poster said.

if a mob normally walks, then a snare will effectively root them... root wont last as long.

snare parking mobs by zonelines = fun
