Should I just reroll?

So I took a break in april and it seems my toons got deleted. They werent max lvl or anything but I spent my first 5 months of the game farming bone chips and orc belts so I could eventually go to EC to wheel and deal myself into some decent gear (got my 28 monk a crescent set, 2 SoS, fbss and 2 tinker bags). I really want to play the game again, but I'm seriously not interested in being naked and impotent for another 5 months begging to get carried by groups. I submitted a petition to see if it's possible to have them restored 15 days ago but I still haven't heart back from anyone. Beginning to to think I should just start over considering the amount of time it takes to get a ticket through. Anyone wanna help me kickstart a new toon?

They never delete your characters here. Do you have the latest patch file downloaded? Are you definitely logging into the right server?

I have v39 spell files and I have kept p99 on onedrive so I never have to worry about losing game files. I checked and rechecked everything. Even went to my brothers house to try and log in from his computer and in each case all my original toons are missing. I am able to make a new toon and play just fine. Also I only own one account so I know I'm on the right one hehe. I still have screenshots from my original toons in the game folder. Not sure what happened.

Might be worth a petition to see if you can get the characters restored? That's probably something that takes a lot of time/resources for the staff to do though so maybe in the meantime the best idea is to restart with something else?

Well... it sucks that you lost your toon but you wasted like 4.5 months needlessly playing TunnelQuest.

Don't bone chip / CB belt and just grind. Remember; grind = levels = plat = items.

It takes 10 days to get a naked monk to 40 with zero gear/plat/farming/PL. I know this struggle very personally.

That being said, look me up in game and I'll get you a few levels.

I rolled a shaman the other night and spent 8 hours in FoB... got to lvl 5. Win.

I've experienced this pain myself, not quite the same scenario. My kids deleted all of my characters on red when I left the selection screen up one night. Anyways the petition worked, but it took about 3 weeks or so. They will get to you just takes some time. GL!

Very kind of you. I will definitely send you a tell if I decide to start over. I'm still salty about losing my monk, he was my baby. Spent so much time maxing out all his skills and getting him a proper set of gear. Getting crescent at lvl 28 is not an easy feat!
Once I get over my butthurtedness I am sure I will start over. Been addicted to EQ since I was 14 back in 2000. Really love p99, just feeling feint of heart when it comes to grinding without any gear lol

Well its good to know they were able to help you out. That gives me hope, now if only I could find the patience...

There's a good possibility it may have been something malicious, but I don't share my acct info with anyone. I was 5 months in and my only friends were the people who were nice enough to help me out on my way up. Anyway I will try to hang in here for another week and see if I've had any luck. I'm dying to get back on.

Perhaps you are logging in to the wrong server at the server select screen

Have you checked both p1999 servers? Are you sure you logged into the right account? Are you sure you didn't ragequit and delete? Did you share your log in data with anyone else?
