I am curious if anyone has tested any of the new 1hs for threat from any of the new Velious weapons?

Based on what we know about proc types and the amount of hate they generate we can have fairly good ideas of what they are. I don't think anyone has sat down and tested it. I've been wanting to test a few weapons due to dubious claims I've seen thrown around.
But lazy. :(

Loving my Infestation (http://wiki.project1999.com/Infestation)! Procs regularly.
Willsapper (http://wiki.project1999.com/Willsapper)... someday...some...day.

Frostbringer - AC Debuff + DD
Infestation - 3 Poison Counter DoT
Willsapper - Slow
Wavecrasher - Slow
Wrapped Entropy Serpent Spine* - 4 Poison Counter Blind
I'm kicking myself for not running my warrior over for a rotting Infestation on a few occasions. Need to kill more Vilefangs I guess.
The entropy serpent spine can suck because the blind proc can fear mobs and stuff gets messy. More an item to use on a raid mob rather than in a group IMO.
There are a few okay raid weapons also that may be decent for aggro. Dunno if the Silver Whip with a 150 Rune is decent, spear off lord fish sticks with slow may be decent also. SoD from Warders is pretty solid.

Wrapped Entropy Serpent Spine is good aggro, but terrible proc. The fear/blind state it can get while in groups and raids can be problematic. I've had it proc near walls, nobody can hit the mob as it goes through it, come back with trains.

I've seen an entropy spine wipe a group before, currently I'm running with an infestation/botbde setup and am having no trouble with aggro.
Infestation is such a pretty weapon.
Not that THAT was my deciding factor in using it or anything.... don't judge me!

A guy in my guild has a Wavecrasher - he says when it procs its pretty much GG, no one getting the mob off him.

I think Infestation has a 6 tick proc from what I've seen. 6 Lines of Yellow test 10 dmg each, 30 dmg immediate proc.

i'm pretty sure willsapper mainhand and sword of the shissar offhand is the best until sceptres of destruction

Willsapper / Red blade offhand (once patched) should be more aggro than dual SoDs I'm fairly sure. Also less ripostes which is nice.

I just parsed Willsapper. It came in between 350-375 threat on the proc. I'll need to parse it again to verify and narrow the range down.

So which of these are generally better than Sarnak Warhammer for aggro?

I'm skeptical Willsapper is that little.
Based of Yaolin's chart, Ykesha is 575, red blade epic is 600 and Poison is 750.
That would put Infestation ahead of Red Blade and Willsapper.

Ykesha should be listed as 475, not 575, stun is stun (400) and the dd is straight addition (75). I've never seen any evidence of a specific ykesha bias in spell effect threat here. Sarnak warhammer has always held agro better for my warrior than ykeshan warclub, superior melee threat outweighs the bit of extra threat from the ykesha proc. All ykesha has going for it is the instant gratification of the mob turning immediately with a 0.0 sec stun instead of the 2 second delay with the warhammer.
Dunno if slow threat varies with the slow, but from my experiences in p99 (prior to velious release combat changes), the slow typically used by a mid-40s shaman has threat greater than:
* stun + an attack round from mid-40s paladin,
* flamelick + a dw attack round from mid-40s ranger,
and less than:
* 2x stun + paladin attack round,
* 2x flamelick + dw ranger attack round,
* stun + 2x dw warrior attack rounds,
* trochilc's skean proc + one dw warrior attack round

If anybody has parsed Wavecrasher versus Red epic I would be very interested in seeing the results. Hard to figure out which is better in main. WC is very strong agro.

Something I'm not clear on:
Yaolin's Hate calculation chart doesn't account for double/triple attacks, as though the flat hate was per round not per swing.
My understanding was that hate is gained each time you swing, and the amount is flat regardless of miss, min hit or max hit. So swinging a double attack with a 2hander is twice the aggro of a single swing where the DA check fails.
Is this correct?
I could see Ykesha being a typo with stun and 75 DD on it.

I have always thought this as well, same mechanic as an OT hammer as far as proc goes.
