Currently the door to Dozekar's room in Halls of testing (immediately behind the front two wurm a when entering) is locked and cannot be lock picked or opened through any means.

From my personal experience, this door shouldn't be locked at all, and it should freely open.

I've also found no reference to it being locked in my research.

Front door should be locked but there is no key and no way to pick it, which may be way there are very few references about it. It is correct though.

Is this correct through Velious?

I'd think there would be SOME comment about how the entry door to Dozekar's room cannot be opened in any way at all. But I've found nothing of the sort.

There is this June 2001 posting on Legacy of Steel.

http://www.legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-06-28

The first screenshot is just inside the door, this could just be a short race wall clipping or eye of zomm through the door to get the screen shot though.

The second is in the main pit with the camera's back to the front of the same door.

That screenshot from May 2001 shows the door opened.

Bump - Alunova can you post your references for this door being unopenable. I'm trying to figure out a timeline because that May 2001 screenshot from LoS shows clearly the west door in his room is opened as you can see Dozekar in the foreground and the stairs/fire pit to 4-way in the background.

If it was locked with no way to open it was likely removed quite quickly.

I'm in the middle of the ocean at the moment. I'll take a look next week when I get back home, like many other things it could have changed several times.

+1 with personal experience opening the door, albeit later in the Velious timeline.

Since my old link no longer works:

This is a May 2001 Screenshot from LoS showing Dozekar dead in his room looking back through the mentioned door which is opened.

On live and Al'Kabor it was openable by all players. Which is shown in that screenshot, there are no locked doors in ToV so it would be peculiar for this to be the only one.

Seems pretty conclusive.

New Years bump.

This door should be an openable door at this point on the server. We are in April/May patch territory. That screenshot from LoS was May 2001 confirming the door could open.

This dumb door is especially troublesome when the snare immune mobs who shouldn't be immune to snare flee through it.

I dream of being able to open this door like we could in classic.

Bump.

Also worth noting, Dozekar should look like Sontalak now, and have a max hit of 900 rather than 800 with the June patch:

http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148799&highlight=Dozekar

I can provide Mac logs of 900 max hit for reference if that is questioned at all.
