Hello new here and a question

Hi all, played way back, found the game was magical but never got to the high end game. I've tried a ton of mmo's after eq and nothing comes close to the mystery, risk and danger of this game. So I'm here starting from scratch as Arthuin the human enchanter! Manly pink robes all the way!

Having a blast struggling on.

Question is: I heard in a YouTube vid I was watching that the p99 team were going to start another day one server with a view to merging down the line, is there any truth to that? If so when is it likely to happen. Cheers all, looking forward to meeting some of you in game!

There was talk about a new kind of PvP-Server (maybe team pvp). Other than that, the one blue server seems to stay. I would love a "yearly reset server" that starts from scratch every year, similar to the league concept in path of exile.

There has been talk about a new server, starting from Day 0 and sticking more to the original timeline. I imagine before doing this they wanted to release velious with a number of the issues worked out so that they could stick to that schedule (I've also read that very few of the devs play on the server, but may be looking forward to playing on the new server, so they'd likely want to do minimal dev work once that happens so they can play and enjoy it themselves). I think it's still up in the air as to whether this is going to be a teams PvP server or just a new Blue server with a fresh timeline. There is no solid word as to when this would happen either. Last I saw was "several months into velious," but that is more hearsay than anything.

There's plans for a discord server (1-60 pvp no limit, full item loot, perma death), PvP Teams and the Recycle server.

The order that they occur, only the Norrathian gods know. If you're into pvp and might be looking forward to one of the first two, its a good time to get some practice in on the red server.

I dont uunderstand why they wouldnt add another blue server ... pvp pop isnt even over 500 most of the time

My guess is the server they add is going to be one that the Devs want to play on. As I mentioned above, I think it makes sense that if they weren't playing right now, but wanted to, they'd be waiting until they work out most of velious and then release a new one they want to play on so they can experience everything themselves. And since all the bugs/builds will be mostly worked out, they can play more than develop.

That would be nice for them. As I understand it, Rogean and the other GMs tend to run around in circles for hours in their special GM zone...sounds like an awful way to enjoy your own server.
