View Full Version : Fellspine and Spiked Seahorse Belt in game?

Just wondering if Fellspine (http://wiki.project1999.com/Fellspine) is in game? And if so, does he drop Spiked Seahorse hide Belt (http://wiki.project1999.com/Spiked_Seahorse_Hide_Belt)?
I'm kind of assuming it's not in game yet (or ever for this server?) since I haven't seen ppl trying to sell that crazy good haste belt yet.
Or is it later in Velious?

He's in game, killed him a couple days after Velious launched. Dropped his BP though.

yeah but if you haven't killed anything and have ornate velium pendant you can click a seahorse and everything in zone will be dubious or better.

Don't really need the faction to get through though, maybe as a mage or enchanter but otherwise everyone has a disc, DA, or evac to get across easily.

Mobs in zone seem to have double the hp of mobs in any other zone as well half the mobs complete heal and mobs are packed very close to each other with very high resistances. Why hunt there when you can just hunt in DN, Velketors, or hell even WW is easier. Also Felspine spawned on first day of velious and wasn't taken out till 2 days later...

SG was nerfed in like the first patch in Velious, we still have the pre-nerf version with mini-dragons (Icy Servants), everything being super MR resist, and every mob hitting for 250s.

SG really has very little going for it - terrible zone all around as it stands right now.
I have never seen a a non-guild group XPing or farming there.

SG is my favorite zone in the game now. I love how challenging it can be. I hope it never gets nerfed personally.

Wow so avoiding this zone due to faction and QQ difficult?
Just go in there and stomp some mobs.
The only real excuses should be "I lack an EB item." Okay, that's fixable and then the need to be sent back in there to do the duty.

SG's a great zone I've been hunting in there trying to spawn shimmering sea spirits with little luck.. its just not worth the time killing PH's and having Icy Servants respawn instead of Water ones which are 10x easier. As a duo anyway. I've tried to get some solid groups going and people are just not interested since the zone offers very little loot and people want faction for some reason . . ! its pretty darn easy to traverse through this zone to WW while kos.

if the seahorses stun you, it's pretty much game over most of the time.

stay above the water til the last second - they wont aggro you if you are not fully 'swimming'

You don't need a faction spell. I can't think of one time that I've used a faction spell getting across that zone.
Have I died? Hell yes I've died. At least it doesn't make me a wuss. The thrill of in game life is the gamble of death.
If I didn't enjoy that sense of adventure, then I would just go play live and visit one of those corpse summoners or ask a Necro to summon my body across zones without a coffin.

zone is actually quite easy to cross. stay on top of the water, get out of water asap, use invis, gg.

I agree, but you can also get screwed by RNGesus and get stunlocked by seahorses, who see invis.
You don't need a faction spell. I can't think of one time that I've used a faction spell getting across that zone.

A large number of raid mobs require running from CS -> SG -> WW. If you die on that run you've pretty much missed out on the raid. Faction spell = no risk run across = make it to the raid.

I'm pretty sure we used to all sit/stand in the corner till it pushed us through.

Just FD your way through, or if you f#cked up and didn't roll a monk, then make a new character that is a monk and profit.
